This is a great place to be if you feel like you have no one, John. Great people who care about each other and share something that profoundly efects us all.

People tell their sad stories to show that they can empathize with you. I know it may seem like its just thread hijacking but it's not. It's showing that they have some knowledge of what you're going through.

You're obviously open to sharing - you are after all, posting in an internet forum. That's cool and I know that I can speak for the group here that we're glad you did. People need to connect, whether you want to feel that or not. And feeling alone just plain sucks - especially when you're facing your challenges. There's a lot of us who have been touched some way by that ... disease and thus have a lot to offer you from both a treatment perspective and an emtional one.

You don't need to feel pathetic. You don't need to feel like a burden or that you're putting us out.

Now. What are we talking about here? Lung? How far along? You wanna talk through PM? Whatever you need.

(PS - i have a sad story as well but will spare you. Suffice to say, I can empathize in a way)

been there , done that, got the tattoos. I'm sure an s***load of emotions right now. for me, kind of grew up. material things took a back seat. I have an extensive gun collection I've amassed over forty years. I priced everything and came up with a plan to sell everything so my wife would t have to in case it didn't go well. I began to enjoy the simple things. sunsets, walks on the beach, working in prison. you get the idea. good luck to ya. kick it in the nads and buy a provari. life's too short.
