Hey guys just joined the forum this morning on my hunt for answers, i have the blue ijoy maxo and just put cloud beast king on thos thing is easily chucking massive clouds looks mint to So anyways i wake up in a daze at six in the morn after four hours sleep and my room is hotboxed with the smell of burning coil and metal my vapes spitting smoke out and isnt even turned on had to pop batteries out to stop it the coil was so torched it was warped and my batteries are a little darker suggesting juice but they arent shorted any idea how i can diy this or is it a dead box
I have been vaping six months and i have no idea what just happened to my beloved setup....

Hello and welcome... it sounds like toast to me and I wouldn't even salvage the batteries just to be safe.
If any mod auto-fires like that, I wouldn't trust it again... ever. It only takes one time for it to auto-fire in a car, or somewhere else you don't want it to auto-fire. Since the ijoy is a regulated mod, the only thing I can think of, is either the button is stuck due to debris (always clean your mod), or malfunctioning electronics (return it if it's still in warranty). Except for the cleaning, there's not much else you can do but return it or trash it. I highly advise not using it again.
As far as the batteries go, I wouldn't suggest using them again. Even though you don't see juice, if they get below the positive connector, they could cause a small short.
Reviews are not good on this mod.......I would ask for a refund and buy something else. Too many people complaining of nearly the same as you describe.....sorry....but its best to be safe than sorry.
If a mod auto-fired and I couldn't 100% identify and remedy what caused it, I would not use it again. Your batteries will be damaged, recycle and replace them.

The good thing is no one was hurt. I'd raise he'll with the company. The lack of qc going on atm with a few companies is making my hair want to fall out. I have been making the habit of removing atomizers before bed.

Yeah, that's scary. Please don't re-use ANYTHING and return to manufacturer. Buy something else, something with good safety reviews. Please don't become the media's next scare tactic-- vaper killed in fire while asleep. That is SO NOT necessary. I have an IPV-5, which has good reviews, I still turn it off at night so nothing can short, I''ve even considered removing batteries, which your story may lead me to do? I don't leave batteries on the charger, even though mine auto-switches off after charging.

I had heard about the autofire with the RDTA boxes. They must have fixed the issue on the Captain. No problems as of yet.
