I have been vaping and smoking for about 9 months now. I have not smoked in 3 days and OMG this is hard. I'm not one of the lucky ones that picked up an ecig and walla no more cigarettes. I have tried about 50 juices and don't love any of them. There are a few that I like but thats as good as it gets. I have decided since I don't love any premade juices that I should be able to mix something I like as well as the premade. I have no clue where to start or what to buy. I don't like all the sweet stuff and I only want to mix some tobacco flavors. I just want to find one that I like and stick with it. I'm over the new juices, hardware, etc. If anyone could please tell me what to buy to mix up some tobacco juice, I would be very grateful because I have no clue. I do know I want a 50/50 pg/vg mix, so at least I know something lol. Thank you for the help.

Well, to start off in DIY you need some basic things.

Nic juice, unflavored, either in a high concentration (like 48mg or 36mg) that you can dilute or a low concentration that's ready to use with added flavors.
PG or VG for dilution
Flavorings
Mixing gear - bottles, a graduated cylinder, gloves, pipettes, syringes

Go take a look at the DIY suppliers, like One Stop DIY, and check what tobacco flavorings they have. Typically, flavorings cost about $1.50 per dram (3.7ml) but you might need to mix a fruity flavor with the tobacco to get the perfection you are looking for.
Also, read up in the DIY forum here on ECF.

How about this:

Buy some small bottles of tobacco flavorings, from Pure Vapes as Hoosier suggests, or from Liberty Flights (5mL).
Get yourself some small bottles for mixing in.

Make up a bottle of each flavor at ~6% (but 5% for Maxboro and 8% for 7 Leaves).
Let them steep for at least a week.
Try each one to become familiar with the taste.
Experiment with blending them together in various proportions.

That would be a really long list of stuff I have tried. I keep reading reviews and trying all the new products and juices and then being disappointed. I have decided to just go back to the basics and start new (sorda lol). I just ordered some boge 2.0 cartos, hoping they are simple and easy and work. That way no more hardware issues (leaks, cracks, hard to fill, etc. etc.) I do love my pink ego, it's a keeper lol. As far as juice goes, I decided instead of spending tons trying the new stuff, I have liked the usa mixes I've tried, so I ordered Dekang USA mix from Madvapes and I ordered a higher nic level so I can just add vg to get my large amount of vapor. With the higher nic level I will still end up with about at 24mg juice after I add 20% of vg. I figure since I don't love any of them, I'll just go with a cheaper juice add vg and make it work, lol. That is the new plan anyhow.

Have you tried purecig flavor from Freedomsmokeusa yet? It resembles an analog and you can get high enough nic content to give a great throat hit. This may help keep you off cigs while you learn DIY. I have been doing DIY for a few months now and it is a long process starting off with small batches and letting them steep until you find some flavors you really like. Like you I mostly mix tobacco flavors. I like Maxboro, Latakia, Nut mix and some of the other Flavourart concentrates that I mix at 3-6%.

This calculator is better because it provides better control by allowing you to produce juice at your required strength i.e. 50/50 , 60/40, 70/30 unlike the other one above that doesnt tell you what the final mix ratio is....

ejuice me up

dont be daunted by it, its straight forward when you know how, there are videos on youtube etc..
