for steeping. But some of the juice I have bought demands it. I hope they get better, because right out of the mailbox, they are awful. So I am putting in a dark drawer, shaking, leaving the top off occassionally and marking my calendar.

Am I even doing it right?

Some of the juices I really enjoy that do not require steeping (at least for me) are:

Deadly Sin and 925 from Good Life Vapor
Black and White Cookie from Alice in Vapeland

What is your favorite juice(s) that does not require steeping? Help me with my list for my next order(s).

That's basically what I do. I uncap for about 24 hours when I get them if they have an alcohol smell, then recap and shake, put in a dark place and uncap for a few minutes and shake every couple of days after that. If they have no alcohol smell, I uncap for a minute or so, smell them, possibly drip them if they smell like they might be ok fresh, recap and shake, repeat every couple of days.

Almost all of my AiV juices are good right away. I needed to steep Berry Lil Cheesecake and the tobaccos for the best flavor (I think they only have Pear Ship and 15 Foot Falls tobaccos). I think pretty much all the others were good fresh.

I have about a dozen flavors from The Vapor Chef and only two or three of those needed to steep for a few days. Notella, Some 'Mores, Beeblebrox, Fluffy Cake, and I think Honey Peary were ok right away.

Seduce juice has a couple that were ok right away (Snake Oil and Snake Venom).

A few from Velvet Cloud Vapor were ok fresh (Harvest Berry, a couple of the chocolate ones like Night Shift).

Those are the only ones I've tried that didn't need to steep for at least a few days.

try speed steeping. i put mine in a box on the radiator overnight, works wonders!
or you can put them in a baggie in some water in a crockpot set on low, some people do that.

just make sure they stay warm but not hot

I super steep mine with a candle warmer, glass bottles only and only for a few hours at a time cause they get hot!! Works wonders tho!! Lol

Hmm, what is your best estimate as to candle warming for 3 hours versus "normal" steeping? Have you been able to tell, is doing that 3 hours like normal steeping for a week?

I do it in a series like say on for 3 hours then let it slow cool for a couple hours, on for 3 more and cool slowly again shaking well before I turn it on each time... I do this all day long and off at bedtime.... Start again the next morning..... Letting it breath once a day for no more than a few minutes and then cap back on. Not sure if more breathing time would speed the process up more or not.....I think it averages out to about a full day of this is = to a week of slow steeping. So for a juice that needs 3 to 4 weeks of steeping about 3 to 4 days of super steeping. It's ALOT of work.... Well.... No not work....."attention" but if your impatient like me it's well worth the effort! I usually drip it each time after it cools off the second time, and start gauging the flavor from there. I still noticed that Ahlusions juices continued to get better after my week of super steeping on the actual 2nd and 3rd week (regular) time. Their poppin peach went from an alcoholy peach pear apple on day 1 to a sweet succulent peach after 4 days of super steeping. On about day 12 after a 4 day super steep it was this creamy sweet amazing peach that was truly Heaven in a bottle!!!! On a bottle not super steeped it didn't get to that creamy amazing peach til around the 6 week mark of just plain ole sit and wait method.... lol I started saving some of my empty glass bottles to put juices in that come in plastic bottles so I can speed things up for them too. I've noticed that I have to do it ALOT more with organic juices. Most juices I only have to do it on & off for a day sometimes only once or twice. Depending on the juice.... And where i want the taste to be.... Like Ahlusion's cantal berry ice.... One day of this and it was perfect IMO :)

OH
example of sillyness:
vendor:"we make all our juice to order, so it's nice and fresh for you!"
consumer:"oh, that's good to hear. is your juice best when it's fresh?"
vendor:"no, our juice tastes like crap when it's fresh"
consumer:"what?"

forcing the buyer to steep is dumb!
there is NO reason why a vendor cannot pre-steep or age their juice before they sell it, why? because ejuice stays good for like at least a year! it's not like it's going to go bad if they premake it.
i shouldn't have to wait a month or so, just to use a juice i buy, it's absurd.
the seller should have the product READY to go when you buy it.

What he said. I have wondered about that. MBV has so many options that they could not have everything premade. But maybe some vendors could offer a limited line of their most popular choices pre-aged.

lets say you a re a vendor of juices and you offer 50 flavors in 7 different levels of nic and at 9 different %'s of PG/VG and also offer 2 different lvls of juice shots... so that is 50X7X9X2 different combinations you would have to keep in stock if my math is right 6300 different containers to deal with
