When I bought the used Zombie, it was to be my backup. 2 Provari are enuf... And then they bring back the polished ones. Well somehow I ended up with a Polished Mini in my cart and purchased. It arrived Friday, but haven't had a chance to post it. Got it with the extention, and blue LED.

I find it hard to take that I've only saved $420 in a month and 25 days of not smoking cigarettes when all the vaping junk around me points fingers and laughs at me.
Well, of course. But still.....I'd rather have a pile of toys than a pile of ashes.

I will be caught up in probably less than a year. Mind you, I take into account all the projects vaping inspired and materials for said projects into my calculations. If I end up not following through it's a total loss in that regard. You're not alone in this boat by any means. By the time that I quit smoking back in July, I had been down to roughly half a pack a day for a couple of months. So I'm by far spending more on vape gear than I was on cigarettes. Now if I throw in the cost of my wife's smoking, which she was still going at a PAD when we quit (although she hasn't totally, she still smokes one now and then) then I'm pretty close to breaking even.
The big savings for me is that when I quit I had already started having some issues with shortness of breath, but I guess that is to be expected after almost 30 years of smoking. Luckily for me most of the problem has cleared up and the rest of the problem is most likely due to the fact I'm not in the same kind of shape I was when I retired from the Army 9 years ago.
I didn't HAVE $5000 to quit smoking....lol
I probably wouldn't have gone for it even if I did. I wasn't ready to quit until I accidentally discovered I didn't want cigarettes anymore after vaping for a while.
I don't really keep track of what I spent. I just looked at my banner to see what I've "saved" and remember the speed my bank account was dropping....lol I had a lot more thousands when I started.I tried the gas station disposables (read: complete crap) about a year ago & went on smoking. About 6 weeks ago I was convinced to give a 'system' a try. It was a crappy 808 system, but at least it gave me faith that not all e-cigs were worthless. My health was never a concern but since I'm a math/numbers geek & income is significantly down from a year ago, I figured I could at least save some money. I vaped & smoked for a month, never with a single intention of full on quitting. Then the Provari showed up. Haven't had one since.
I'm still keeping track of spending vs savings, mostly because of numbers & partly because this was never (& still isn't) about my health. That's great for those who it is, I'm just not one of them. The insurance cost isn't a concern either - I'm self employed. I don't have health insurance, I'm not getting any & I'm not paying any fine.

I've got an enormous pile of invoices to input to my database but I haven't been able to bring myself to do it and everything has been all at sixes and sevens around here since I decided to rework my space. One of these days I'll do it....and cringe.I didn't at first, but if there's a reason to start a new spreadsheet, I'll do it!
I base all my purchases off from the Quicken budget though, the only exception being getting the expensive stuff (the Provari's mostly) where I lumped two months together. That was only because I had quit analogs completely & had the extra sitting in another budget category that won't be used for a little bit. I did put the Stealth on a credit card, but I hadn't used up the room on my Cabela's card for the month & needed the points - I was smoking & drinking my way to a new rifle, now I'm vaping & drinking my way there. It's satisfying paying off that card every month.
