I have question

I have a smok rpm80 which is a aio pod system and when i am in a quite enviroment and press the fire button to vape, my ecig makes a noticable electrical buzzing noise. Is that normal and/or does anyone else have this problem or know how to fix it?

Not familiar with that unit, exactly, but is it maybe the sound of the vaporization?

If you're new to vaping, and bought from a brick and mortar store, maybe take it there for inspection. Otherwise, there are many vapers here. Someone with experience with your apparatus will be along shortly.

Thanks,ive had a few cigs in my time but this is new it seems to be coming from the battery or the mechanism that heats the coil. It doesnt happen all the time tho its on and off.

Quitting smoking doesn't have to be black and white with vaping. Smoke if it's necessary, and vape when ya wanna! Good luck on your transition to a safer alternative. Good luck with your Smok mod, too! TBH Smok is well-known for poor QC and failed electronics.

No, it's not normal and it shouldn't be happening. I agree with @Territoo --contact your vendor ASAP and ask for a replacement.

It does not sound particularly normal to me either. Your vendor may want a video of it doing that and that's probably fine in case it is somehow normal (I don't own one) but I'm highly doubtful.

I have the Smok RPM80PRO and it does the same. Quite a few folk are reporting the same noise. Mine is 5months old now and use it daily and never let me down but can still hear the noise.
I dont think it's something that can be fixed. I'm guessing it's the regulator in the device that's humming when fired.

It maybe nothing to worry about if they've used a cheap DC-DC converter and what that buzz is is either from the coil or the SMD inductor but I am not fimilar with this unit so I couldn't really answer.

Hello and welcome to ECF. I'm not familiar with your mod but from what I am seeing from others is not good. You might want to be picking up a back up system on standby. Or maybe a back-up or two just to be on the safe side. We can never have enough back-up ecigs and accessories.

The same kind of sound was produced by my vaporesso gen, I sent it back to the seller and got a new one that also produced a buzzing sound ... It happens when an atomizer is connected (the device reads the resistance) and sometimes I notice the buzzing when puffing. I found somewhere on the internet that this is normal sound if the device has a live resistance reading. I've been using my gen like this for 10 months now and it doesn't seem to be a problem.
