seems to be a few shops in the 30 mile radius.

http://www.vapeabout.com/postal/45121

might be beneficial to make a trip just to find something you like

bobas bounty for me was fantastic at first. first "real" juice I had that I thought tasted amazing. I later learned to hate and it can't stand it anymore lol

the flavors I vape now are completely different than what I used to like

I agree with everyone here who says to find a local vape shop that will let you try their juice. Even if the closest one is 2 hours away, it's worth making the drive once to try things and see what you like - once you've got the right juice, you can order online when you need more of it.

Finding the right juice for you is absolutely the hardest part of vaping. After 4 years, I've got 3 or 4 juices that I'll order regularly because I know I like them enough to finish the bottle. That's it, just 3 or 4, plus the 2 I found this week that I liked out of the 15 or so samples I ordered. And I'm still looking (mostly because I want to find some good ones that are less expensive than my go-to flavors right now). I've got an order of about 20 samples from a newer juice maker coming in on Saturday. If I find a few of them that I like as regular ADVs (all day vapes), I'll be SUPER happy with that purchase.

That said, I know I'm more picky about juice than most people, but usually, people find something they're relatively happy with and vape that while they quit smoking. After a month or two, your taste buds recover from being a smoker, you taste everything better, and you get a little tired of your flavor and go looking again.

Good tasting juice is VERY much in the taste buds of the beholder. I don't really go by what others say.

I did, and do, samplers. I have a spreadsheet where I list the juice and my rating for it using MY APVs and toppers. I also test the liquid at different power levels. So, that means I don't buy the same "yuck" twice and I know what MY preferences are. I have a couple of friends that vape and I try theirs and record it, too.

Based on MY ratings, I am looking for ~15 that I really enjoy. I just finished trying about 10-12 plain blueberry flavors and finally found it. I have done others and will do more in the same manner. I figure I have 30 years to look and I am happy with my hobby.

Its all about MY taste buds and I don't smoke.

Hope helps

Hi,
I have smoked for many years and the doctor more less told me to quit or die, I had a collapsed lung from smoking 2 packs a day of Camels. Well anway I thought I would try e-cigs and bought a starter kit and read a few reviews. And I went out to AleinVapor and bought what many people here claim to be the best e-juice ever. Bobas Bounty and Gorilla Juice. I bought a few other juices from AleinVapor as well, all really bad, but the Boua Bounty was just horrible, and Gorilla juice tastes as clogged up toilet.
What I want to say is ALL the juices I bought tasted like wet dirty socks. I am rather upset that so many people here rave about this company and the Bobas Bouny etc,, and I bought it and it was garbage. My 1st vape experience and over 100 USD spent. I returned to analog cigarettes, I know they are killing me but I cant quit.
Very bad experience with e-cigs. If Bobas Bounty is the best juice, then i would hate to try the worse. :( I don't know what to do. I've tried nicotine gum, the patch etc.. and now e-cigs.. nothing has helped me!! My health is failing me. I want to quit. Anyone have any advise?

Try again. Go to a brick and mortar store if you can and try as many flavors until you find one agreeable to your palate. There is no excuse for not giving digitals another go, unless you really just want to keep smoking.;

For the time and gas, the hour's drive to Cincinnati will be worth it to go to a shop and try some liquids, versus possibly wasting money buying samples. Altsmoke is a long time established vendor that would be worth a trip. If you are seriously trying to regain your health, ecigs can do the job, and a trip to find a good couple flavors is well worth it. Good luck!

Maybe I just got a bad e-juice or have a bad atomizer. I'm going to alocate an extra 100 bucks into a good battery and atomizer and a few sample juices. I'll buy all on another site not this AlienVapor site. Seems they may be an imatation company?? I maybe will buy 1 tabacco taste, and a few taste i like in general. I like for example banana nut bread and i see this site Mt Bakers sells that at a good price. I maybe will go to thier to shop to buy, seems people like them. I'll also make sure I'm not getting some imposter site. Also they seem patriotic and all their stuff is made in the USA. Thats good, I'm a retired army sergent.
Anyway I was hospitalized with a collpased lung due to over smoking, I literally coulnt breath. It was hell. After my hospital stay I bought cigerates. I can't quit.. I tried nicotine gum, was totally ineffective. I tried the patch was absolutley worthless, and I tried e-cigs to no avail, but maybe I just got junk with that. I am going to give it one more shot. I don't want to die just yet, the doctor told me if I dont quit that my lung could give out again and next time could be fatal.

I live in Columbian country about 1 hours drive to Youngstown. I think in Youngstown their must be a few vendors. I'm going to just order online again at another site and get a few samples.

Figuring out what works best for you is the hardest part. There is a ton of different setups juices to try. Find a brick and mortar store that's set up with a juice bar and tell them the same thing you told us. They should be able to home in on something that will work for you.
Great advise Ringo!
Finding a local shop with juice samples will allow you to find a juice that will work for you.

Welcome aboard, FedUp! Our stories are very similar, but I started the process 6 months ago and would only suggest (as others have stated):

1. Make the trip to a B&M. I took a 2 hour drive when I started, but walked away with good equipment, a couple juices I thought would work, and haven't looked back. But since many B&M's let you taste 0 nic juice, buy in small bottles and try it for a bit before going to the big bottles. Should you find some juices you like, they will most likely be willing to mail your orders. Once you find a couple juices you know you can depend on, you can do some trial and error searching on web orders.

2. Let your bottle sit open for a few hours (let it breath) before using. Then put the lid back on and give it a really good shake just before filling the tank (do this whenever filling a tank). Most places I've gotten juice say it is ready to go when you first open it, but it seemed to me that letting it breath kinda "took the edge off" so to speak. Now that I am more used to the process, I don't find this to be as important.

3. When you put in a new coil and fill the tank, let it sit for 5 or 10 minutes, then take a few primer hits to get the coil well juiced.

4. Prepare yourself and start saving your $$$ now! Once you get over the initial hump, and you will, then the desire to upgrade in search of the "ultimate vape" will set in.

5. Last and most importantly, don't give up! And don't beat yourself up if you don't succeed overnight. Every analog avoided is a step in the right direction.

Good luck to you and keep us updated on your journey! :vapor:

I'm gonna be a little more blunt here, but if you truly want to quit smoking cigs, then you will do whatever you have to do to achieve that.
Let me give you a little back story... I had my first heart attack at 28 years old. At that time, the cardiologist told me that if I didn't quit smoking, he would see me again. Well, December 1st of this year, I had my 4th heart attack. (I'm 35) I now have 2 stents in my arteries from smoking. As I laid in that hospital bed looking at my beautiful fiance, I told myself I am not putting her through this when we are married.

When I got home, I charged up my batteries, and ordered more juice. If you truly want to quit, then try 100 different juices until you find something that you like. I really don't get a lot of flavor out of vaping like I see from youtube reviews, but I get enough nicotine in y system to not want the cigarettes.. so cowboy up, throw that pack away and get your vape on brother! My last cigarette was December 1st, 2014, and I'll be proud to be saying that same thing come 5 years from now.

Quitting smoking is hard, hard, hard....I have never been so proud of myself as I was when I reached the one month mark smoke free! However, I have spent an embarrassing amount of money on flavors and hardware since my quit date (11/11/14). I am finally happy with the set up and flavor I have. I got the Eleaf Istick battery and the Kangertech Geni Tank Mega and use the Cuttwood Sugar Bear juice. Don't give up. The money is worth it to quit the smokes. I hope you will try it again and wish you luck!

First of all, good luck to you in "saving your life". I came from 40 years of 2 packs (or more) a day of first pall mall's then pall mall filters towards the end. My original quest was of course a good tobacco juice. When I started I didn't know about this forum, didn't know about ordering juice online and such. Luckily I was in St. Louis and there were some mall kiosks that sold e cig stuff. While stupid high in price, I was able to get some decent tasting tobacco juice from them. I tried a lot of different juices in the beginning but, only a tobacco tasted "right" to me. I know now, that it was my taste buds in the beginning and now that I can actually taste things (like food, juices and well everything else) I have found different "non tobacco" juices I really enjoy. a

While a city may be a hour drive, I'd say your life is worth that. However in lieu of that, there are lots of online vendors that sell quality juice and many resemble (at least to me) their description. (again you may not experience this in the beginning). Taste is a very personal thing, just as vaping equipment may become. The same juice can taste totally different at a different voltage, or on a different device. I knew in my case I had to quit and I can tell you vaping today is way superior to what I started with.

I wish you good luck, and hopefully you'll find some juices that can help you to get off the "sticks" and stay off.
