I plan to start DIYing liquid and I have all that figured out fine; I'm just waiting on pay checks.
I use carts i LOVE them but they flood BAD! since I vape 24/7 and at high volts really sweet liquid. I do it to myself I know that.
BUT
What on gods green earth do I test with and how do I find it with out spending $100?
and what would be a good alternative to the carts that I can make fancy with drip tips and junk for the rest of my day?(without breaking my bank)
I have found that I kinda get like a paper burning taste when I use wick systems which made me give up my nova :(

You might want to look into the Vivi Nano for your testing. They're essentially tiny bottom coil carto tanks, but not rebuildable. Hold about 0.9 ml. Although you can't change the drip tip (proprietary, and part of the seal), they do come in different colors.

Here's the cheapest I've found: AltSmoke.com | Nano Clearomizer - 510 Thread | Electronic Cigarette | Ecigs |

Since you like cartos, have you considered carto tanks? They range from plain to very fancy :)

Or you might consider a bottom coil, along the lines of the Kanger T3 or Evod. It may not have the same "papery" taste as the top coil wick units.

Regarding the flooding - try a gentler, if longer, draw. And watch that you don't overfill to start with!

I have a cart tank system which floods. when I take the cart out of the tank and use as is its fine just really airy due to the two holes in the sides.

you can get 1 hole versions of the cartos for the tanks

I use Vision stardust/CE series type clearomizers when trying out a new flavors. Like the nanos (before mentioned), they are not so expensive and If they are working good they will last 3 weeks. I also wash them out with hot water and save them for just such an occasion. They might not be so perfect the 2nd time around, but enough for me to get a taste with out having to fill up or waste a large amount in a huge tank.

Wonder why it's flooding? What kind of liquid do you use? Is it high PG?

If it's just for testing, I test with an atomizer which does take practice or a cheapo clearomizer.

BTW, you don't have to search- just ask! Less frustrating for you that way.

it kinda spinned of to carts LOL
let me clarify some questions
I use carts in a carto tank system for an all day vape.
I have no clue what the difference to dual coil and single coin carts are and would love some clarification.

When I decide to start my DIY liquid i need a Drip atomizer.
I don't know whats good for the price, or where to find them.<- more clarification for me is needed
LOL sorry I'm a southerner I expect people to just understand me
Is this a carto thread or a testing question?

You test by dripping. 3 drops. Not filling an entire carto. Just say'n. :)

I know a lot of other forums want you to search before hand due to repetitive questions.I tried and it really went left on my searches and found $180 attys o_O

It's both AttyPops... 2 distinct questions Carrie asked.

I also use the atomizers I started with for my joytech 510 system for testing (as well as the eGo-T system) but you might want a drip shield to help keep the mess down.
Regardless, you should be able to bring in something that would work for your testing for under $15 (or lower..)

On the cartos, well, might be best to start with single coil. I prefer dual coil for both tank and non-tank use.

[a] and
drip into an atomizer. Just standard atty is ok. Can get a dripping atty if you want to pay more.

[c] burnt taste with wicking systems = bad wicking = thin the juice if you can. Shouldn't leak though. Leaks = too-big gaps somewhere or flooding.

[d]single coil. I don't want to get into the electronics...but single coil. At least until you a) know the difference and have tried a bunch of cartos and b) have a high-amp device.

More info on the dual coil stuffis.
Basically a 1.5 DCC, for example, is TWO 3.0 OHM coils. So where I would normally run one 3.0 ohm coil at 5 volts, I'd run two at 4.8 to 5.0 volts but TWICE THE AMPS. And it ends up being about 3.3 amps...which is more than many devices can take. So stick with single coil stuff for now IMHO. Besides you're still having wicking issues on one coil..so....get good at it! :) The DCC stuff is more trouble than it's worth until you're bored.
