I will be placing the order in one week at the latest . Were looking at about 2 months estimate only . I am looking forward to this upgrade . These will be made by a company that I deal with all the time there wont be any delays

So Rob, are you gonna wait for these to do the woodvil run? Probably be a good idea to have them on the woodies don't ya think? That would put the woodvils out to three months or so?

So... Rob. Hey man. ... How's it going? ... Yeah. Fine, fine... Glad to hear it... So, uhhhhh...

About that Stainless Steel 510 Connector.... Is there any sort of ETA on that?

The reason I ask... Well, you know. ... No one else was being a pain about it and somebody had to. ;)

Now you have sparked the interest of the noobs. What is the benefit of switching to a Stainless Steel 510 Connector? Thanks.

I'm a believer in bomb proofing everything... even stuff that's already bomb proof.

It will be of stronger material than the connector on any atty, so if you drop your REO with an atty on and it lands right on the atty, the threads of the atty will give before the threads of the connector. And, even though corrosion really isn't any sort of issue with the current connector, the SS connecter will be more resistant to any corrosion that might be caused by any juice. SS is simply superior material for this purpose.... and it is just plain awesome Rob decided to be the first to design and have produced a full SS 510.

... plus I believe it will be gasket-less, thus reducing potential leakage (that would sound sooooo wrong on other kinds of online boards).

Yes. ... and yeah it would. ;)

That's actually the most important detail - gasgetless. The weakest point in any connector is the gasget. I got excited and completely left that out :)

I don't tend to get too excited about things... and after 4 + years of vaping, I really find it hard to get excited about vape gear. A superior connector is actually a really, really, big deal. There are two current 510 connectors I view as head and shoulders above all others - REO's and Notcigs. They are just plain superior to any other connector I've seen... There is one other one that gets an honorable mention, and I know it's just some mass produced junk, but a lot better mass produced junk than the rest- that's the connector on the Kalamazoo Triple-V. What keeps the triple-v connector out of the same league as REOs and Notcigs is that they are too deep and have to thick of a gasget. It can mash and leave most attys/cartos unable to connect.... but the threads are excellent. ....

Anyway, all that said, I haven't seen anything I think is any sort of evolution of the ecig in quite some time. A gasgetless, bomb-proof, SS 510 is a really big deal. It doesn't just mean longevity - It means reliability on a level never used in one of these devices before. It means overtightening isn't harmful. It means nothing can wreck the connector and leave the device unusable.
