Well, I have it again :/

Going from site to site placing small orders "thinking" $20 here and $30 there makes it ok. Does ECF have any personal help lines for this?

In the past week I've ordered more box mod kits, lead free solder, more 14500 batteries, multiple 306s, some LR510s, box of clearomizers, couple of avejuice 18mls, big stu's bottom feeder, a powerdrill, a glue gun, helping hands with magnifier...will it ever stop?!?!?

Help...me...

Some people think it's part of the addiction... It Can be...

But I remember when I used to buy a 10 dollar pack of smokes... Or two... Every day... Every single day... Without fail.

I remember not giving it a second thought... 300 bucks a month... Minimum... Every month...

When I quit smoking, I labored over the price of a high end mod. It cost less than I spent on cigs in a month.

So, if you're spending money... It's a part of the addiction.

And it's a heck of a lot less money than cancer treatment... Or a heart/ lung transplant. That's part of that OTHER addiction...

Those little 20 and 30 dollar binge purchases may add up... But they will never total the price your friends and family would suffer if you continued walking down the other path.

Be gentle on yourself and cut yourself some slack.

End of counseling session... That will be 155 dollars please... I accept charge cards

Haha thats exactly why I decided to buy a buzz and not let myself get into building my own mods... yet... Or making my own juice. Sure it saves money if you know what kind you want to make, but I'd end up ordering $300 worth of every different flavor and anally try every combination possible, never being satisfied with any single mix...
PVs are any DIY oriented person's dream and curse.

LOl! You're not the only one.

Here's what I ordered in my short vaping career. Provari, Infinity, Map Tank, bought the stu 3.7 bottomfeeder mod from the classifieds, same with an Omega. Tons of Juice, atomizers, cartos, drip tips, Plano tackle box, empty bottles, syringe, plastic baggies, a carry around case, a Brother label maker .. I'm sure I forgot something..

That's ok though because I've dropped some nasty habit in the last 3 months: one is cigarettes and the other was Mary Jane.

My wife thinks I lost it and doesn't want to hear another word about ecigs.

I have the same sickness. $20 here for a batt, $15 for juice, some cartos, atties. I have 3 complete boxed brand new Rivas. 4 mods, and now a couple eGo-Ts. Can I get all this stuff in one batch? Nooo. Gotta pay shipping for each item. Plus, I'm still using an occasional analog, since I found an online vendor who sells them cheap. Sick-sick-sick!

We need to start a support group.

Wonder if Zen accepts Blue Shield!

use to be this way.. tried it all... Now I have settled to what works best with a single juice supplier... I am sorta like when I was smoking.. same kind.. same old... I am reducing my nicotine level in hopes of quitting someday...

Now working with EGO 900 battery, LR cartomizer and same 5-6 juices from same supplier... comes roughly to 30% of what smoking was costing me...

I think about that lately when I see $3.37 gas. One Gallon!

It's cheaper to mail order stuff with $5 shipping than it is to drive across town and buy it.

I just try to find one vendor who has everything and place one order. Right now, I need some juice, but I'm waiting until BWB has Malty Toffee back in stock until I do. Then, I'll place an order for several bottles at once. No more bottle here and bottle there ordering!

I'm only days away from my 6 month anniverary but still a month away from a break even point if I buy nothing else in the next month. I smoked 2 pad but my cost was only $150 a month so it takes me longer than many others who smoked a lot at a high cost per pack to reach a break even point having spend that $1000 so far. I will start reaping saving in another month :toast: but I will still spend money when I find something new I wish to try. I'm not one of those people that finds I need to try everything new that appears. At six months I've found the juices I like and don't have a major need any longer to keep trying many new ones. The next mod I buy after I've reached my break even point will be a vv mod. It only makes sense to me because I can vape at what ever voltage I wish at any time.

Every penny I've spend on vaping has been MORE than worth it to be able to say I'm NOT a smoker and I'm also no longer addicted to NIC. I am still a vaping addict and expect to be for some time to come but I mostly use 0 nic juice now and if I feel like it sometimes 6 mg but that's entirely my chose at this point. If I spend twice every month for the rest of my life what I spend on cigarettes it would still be worth every penny as far as I'm concerned !

I've got the same thing happening. When I decided to try e-cigs again in January, one of the things that motivated me was giving up a $300 a month habit. I guess I did, but I've gained an equally expensive new habit. So far, it's pretty much a push... $500 saved, $500 spent.

But, if I'd have continued with cigarettes, my $500 would now be nothing but a large bag of butts. With e-cigs, I have four complete units, lots of atomizers, 300ml of liquid minus what I've used... and a top of the line mod on order that looks very cool.

And that's all a bonus because the real prize is quitting cigarettes.

Works out for me.

Same here... I was using an atty, I liked it, so I ordered some more. Then I tried a cartomizer, it hold more juice so I ordered a box of those. But then flavor on the cartomizers was not that good, so I went back to the atties and then I ordered some mega-atties to try that out... still the first atties haven't arrived and I have 2 more orders coming in. And today I might order some juices...

I even got a call from the credit card company as my ordering spree triggered their "unusual purchases" flag and they wanted to verify it was really me.

my spouse was just giving me grief the other day saying he bets I've spent $1000 in the last year on ecigs.... I think its probably more like $500 or so but I didn't debate it. I just said that if I were still smoking it would have been $3000 at a carton + per week. He thought burning money on cigs was stupid, but he doesn't like me spending 1/3 on ecigs either. oh well.

So... take the bet... then show him you only spent 500...

Take the 1000 dollars you won and spend 500 of it on more eCig stuff... then pay yourself back the 500 you actually spent last year, then tell him everything cost you nothing... You THEN proceed to remind him that HE went and lost a grand gambling on a SINGLE BET... NOW... WHO has the nastier and more expensive addiction?

That will show Mr. Smarty Pants who has a grip on reality.

I should start a friggin advice column, I really should..

NEXT!

I can't stop spending either. I'm about $200 in to this new habit in just under a month. I think it will eventually level out a bit but for now I'm continuing to try new things and new vendors. I started with a JOYE 510 with auto battery and pcc, then picked up a Riva 510, then discovered LR atomizers, and am waiting on another order for the new tank system in LR for my Riva. I've also ordered a bit over 100ml of various eflavors.
