I bit the bullet tonight! "She who must be obeyed" was in a giving mood, even though I had most of the cash in hand, and let me order a Provari mini, blue LED and two batts. I WANTED the mini, I like the form factor of my BB and wanted to stay in that size. I hope to be able to get the Kir Frans extension before they are all gone, but that depends on money of course! But that is just for around the house use.
Anyway, I really, really, really hope this thing is what it's supposed to be! This was a HUGE purchase in my world, and I can't tell you how hard of a sale this was to get "She who must be obeyed" to get on board with!
Sorry, I'm well beyond nervous about this! I am excited, nervous, scared, all the above! I just hope it meets half of what I've read about it!

Thank you! Sorry, I'm a LOT nervous about this! I really hope it's all they say it is! I'm a carto tank guy, tried the Vivi's, gonna have a few up for sale soon, just not my thing! Lose of flavor, then a burnt taste, even on the BB, just killed them for me! It sucks, it seemed like a GREAT concept, and I still like the format, I just couldn't get happy with them.
Man!! I'm still freaking out after spending that much money!

I used everything on mine from dripping, carto, atomizer, tanks & rebuildables. Hang on to your Vivi Novas and give them a try when you receive. I too hated sometimes you get the wick taste or over burns. I tested wrapping them last week with mesh and it helps resolve the issue. :)

Thank you, but that's way more effort than I care to put into it! Really, I'm lazy, I just want to vape and enjoy!
I had a local vendor tell me not to run the Vivi's over 3.5v though? He seemed to think this was the sweet spot for them? This seemed odd, and counter intuitive to me, but all this rba stuff seems to be over my head!

No worries, you wont be disapointed.... Meet half of what you've read about it? No it will be doulbe what you have heard.... Theres nothing like a Provari-#1 all the way... Did you get the matching extention cap? Its a must have.... I have both Provari sizes and the mini with the extention cap is the perfect form factor... :)

No extension caps yet, that wasn't in the budget right now! I'm planning on saving up for the Kir Frans 18650 extension, if they are still available then. I've got 18650's and ordered a pair of 18350's from Provape so that's another set of batteries I'd have to buy. Maybe next summer if I get some cash free I'll think harder about going the 18500 route.

The Kir Frans ext doesnt match the Provari satin, plus you still need to use the regular Provari end cap... The thing about the Provari extention cap is that it has rounded edges which gives a comfortable feel in the hand... The standard end cap has a sharp edge to it which for me doesnt feel as good in the hand.... JMO

Post: #1 From the vendor:
Provari mini/ProvariV2 extension for 18500/18650..by Kir Fanis

extension 18650 for mini Provari. The forum price for each extension will be 16 eur +6 eur worldwide shipping ... ***THATS $28.69 US DOLLARS***

p.s. please note that there are some slightly difference in color as you can see in the photo
***COLOR AND TEXTURE OF FINISH IS OFF......
This is the site I found them on: http://gr-modders.com/shop/39-extension-18650-for-mini-provari.html
23.5 Euros + 6 Euro shipping= $38.50 US

They do look like a good idea for a mini... But I would rather have a Full sized Provari with ext cap to run the 18650 battery..

It's here! The size is just what I wanted, just a bit bigger diameter than my BB, but the exact same length, very happy with that choice so far! Been looking at some RBA's, but I'm not sure yet if I want to mess with them or not.
But more agony now, I have to wait for the batteries to charge! The wait continues!

So far I'm happy, a couple of little things I wish were different, but nothing major. I've figured out the menu system finally. It can be a bit finicky but that fact that it keeps cycling is nice! What's with the blank menus between the working ones? That really had me stumped at first! I thought the menu system was broken on mine for the first few hours!
I'm getting better battery life than I expected, about 6 hours out of the 18350's. I'm VERY happy about that!
Then I find out it has a thermal shut down, can anyone tell me what that temp is? As I live in KS and 120 degs isn't uncommon around here, and I do a lot of things outside, I'd like to know what that temp is so I can be mindful of it! I had my iphone shut down a few times last summer, so yes, it's a real concern for me!

I have never run into a temp issue with a Provari. I doubt you will have any issues with it. I probably would not be letting it sit in direct sunlight for a couple of hours though, with 120 degs, I would think your tank would melt before a Provari would quit, lol.

Nice catch! I hadn't even thought of that yet! Of course it's 14 outside right now, so why would I have:laugh:

I live in the Phoenix Az. area, never had a Problem with shut down...... we have 5 months with temps of 105--120 degrees.
The thermal shut down comes into play when an atty runs dry and glows orange...

Thank you Riverboat, I was just wondering after reading the Evic shuts down at 95f and I knew that wasn't going to work for me!

OK, a bit more than a week in and I have to say I'm mostly pleased with it! I appreciate the build of this thing more every day! I've yet to drop it, really trying not to, and it's been to cold outside to do much in the garage.
I'm still very happy with the battery life, it's much better than I'd have expected! I'll have to order some more soon, just because, but so far two batteries has been quite sufficient!
The menu took a day or two to get, but once you play with it a bit, it's really easy and intuitive. I find myself using the battery check a lot more than I thought I would. It's nice to see the battery level and say "Meh, that's a bit low and I'm getting ready to leave for a while, better change it out now." Or get them changed out before they reach a deep cycle, I'm liking putting them on the charger around 3.4-3.5v just because. It's nice to see what you have without breaking out the VOM!
It just flat WORKS! That is very nice!
The couple of problems I eluded to, again, not big deals.
I'd like to see the switch placed higher on the mini, it would fit better in the hand, and make "stealth mode" a lot easier.
I'd LOVE to see more of the upper body cut with the scallops, to give it a bit more grip. Where they are you get a good purchase on it, where they aren't, it's a bit slick. I think this could be done rather easily with a change in the program and still leave room for the led window, the switch and the logo.
The last one, really isn't a fault of the Provari, but the cheap tanks I'm using. I can't tighten them all the way down and get good air flow. I know most of the better tanks built for it have the air slots cut into them, but it wouldn't be that hard of an addition to make, I may very well do it myself even.
Again, minor things, but for the price you would think they could add them fairly easily.

Well I'm four months in now. It finally had a hard drop the other day, first one and a chunk of glue fell in over the screen and just didn't look good. I figured I'd have to send it in, but after pulling the battery out I noticed I could get to it with a fine gauge nail. It popped right out and all was fine!
It's finally warming up and I'm getting active again, changed the oil in my truck and did brakes on my wife's van last night. Dropped it at least three times, had it slip out of my pocket and roll down the drive a couple times, still works like a champ and the only damage are a couple of minor scars on the battery cap that I could easily polish out!
I fell much better about this purchase and this usage has deffenatly assured me that this was the right purchase for me! Thank you Provape for making such a quality product!
