Hahaha if you think you get the same flavor off a basic 22 or 24 gauge or w.e build your really wrong. Certain coils are just for looks but a framed staple or a 4 core fused clapton is 10x better then a regular coil. If you say otherwise my guess is you struggle to do those builds and have never used a well built advanced coile

Of course I've tried them. And I get just as much flavor and a hellova lot cooler vape.
I suppose you know better though. Put one on a rapter 300 watt and Vape on brotha. And enjoy!

Building a coil is not rocket science, how effective it is will depend on coil-wick contact area*.

With 'fancy' builds the only time they will perform better is straight after they have been dripped on, for the first vape there will be residual juice on the redundant part of the coil (the part not in contact with the wick), which will obviously add to the cloud and have the wick-free clean taste (similar to what you get from dripping using cartomizers with stuffing removed).
After the initial vape it will perform the same as a standard coil, but slightly less efficiently due to the shape of the coil (having a lower percentage of the wire in contact with the wick).
The standard coil will have approx 50% (slightly more if spaced coil) of the circumference of the wire (cross section) in contact with the wick, obviously multiplied by the length to get the total contact area.



*all other things being equal etc.
