I'm waiting on my vamo v5, its on a slow boat from china, stuck in LA. No way to test ohms yet.
Riptrippers micro coil wont work on a ego c twist, he says it doesn't have the power.

I'd like to find a way to build heads for this twist but all I see is coil tutorials for vv/ww micro coils/nanocoils. . Oh well, might have to stick with the kanger heads for the twist, but when I get my vamo I can make hotter coils.

Most of the tutorials are simply rebuilding what is in a stock Kanger head, there's no specific build for vv/vw. The only issue is knowing how many ohms you're building, so you know it will work on your power supply. If you have the same gauge wire as in the stock head, you can wrap the same number of coils, add some cotton, and you'll be good to go. If you don't have the same wire, that's where the resistance checking comes in.

Also, the coils last a lot longer than the wicks, you should get a couple rounds of coil burning and replacing the wick before you need to replace the coil. If you want, while you're waiting for your Vamo, you can replace the wick in the heads and dry burn the coils, it'll be good practice taking them apart while you wait.

Welcome bro...I am on the same boat...stuck with a ego twist with kanger pro II wanting to rebuild..but.the only difference is you have yours on the way and I have a hard time choosing my next device...anyways. hope it comes soon for ya. I seriously hate them moments where you are tracking a package and just wish it would just get to you already...its a pain lol.

Let me echo Boiler here.....
Suggest you try the STOCK Kanger coil(s) first.....see how they work for YOU with the eGo Twist...play around with the voltage (START LOW!!) and see how the variation affects different juices....
BEFORE you start tearing into building/rebuilding....dissect a stock coil -- see how it's put together...this will give you a leg up when you get ready for your first "wind".....! Good Luck!
Happy (vaping) Trails!

If you don't wrap it correctly you could get a short. All it takes is one of the legs to touch the inside of the head and your battery may be toast. I would say the minimum safety precaution would be to check the resistance of your builds - if only to make sure you don't have a short.

As for 7 wraps of 30ga, depending on what you wound it on, I would say that'll be about 1.6-1.7ohms.

You just need to be careful, the worse that can happen is you over-load your battery and the safety protection fails and you get a thermal run-away. It's just not worth the risk - to me anyway. I always check the resistance and I always use safe-chemistry batteries.

Micro coils work fine on a twist/spinner... Using them right now. True, you can't test the resistance yet, but my vision spinner won't fire below 1.2, and I'm pretty sure most ego style batteries are protected.

Using the built-in protection of a battery to vape safely is like using the seat belt in a car to not crash.

Why all the interest in rebuild-ables ?

I guess I can understand as a hobbyist, but most of us I would imagine, hope that Kangar and other Companies make a product that we will like as is

Do they not see what people want that requires us to manually change their product ?
If there is an improvement that can be made -wold be great for the manu to listen and perform as such

Hopefully as Vaping continues to take off they will make products that give the masses what they want and pay attention to forums and such, or newer companies will see the demand and create customer Tanks !
