So I got my new dual wire 1.5ohm xl carto's from avid vapor, and also got two 1.5 ohm 510's, and a 1.8 ohm 510 as well. And I have a couple of questions. Do his 510's come with primer in them? I forgot to check, and when I was vaping the first one it tasted burnt or something, it really tasted nasty. It wasn't dry, if anything it was flooded, I could see the juice in the atty. After I tried it I tried to blow everything out of it, and then prime it and blow that out, then I put four drops on the bridge put it back on my grand squonked it and at first hit was GREAT then the following hits had that burnt taste again. I just can't figure it out. I also used my multimeter on everything, and all of them were way off. Are multimeters off normally. I have no experience using them, but the 1.5 carto was 2.0, the 1.5 cisco was 1.8, and the 1.8 was 2.0' so I was just wondering if that was normal, or if my $12 multimeter was not that accurate. It's an innova 3300, if that makes sence to anyone. Thanks for helping me out!

For your meter, set it to measure ohms and then touch the leads together. If it doesn't zero out, the number you see is the resistance of your leads. You will have to subtract that number from the readings you get when you measure your attys/cartos.

Cisco attys are supposed to be shipped with no primer, but I've read where it has been otherwise.

1.5 Ω is a hot vape. If you're vaping sweet flavors, it may be too hot for them. Tobacco flavors tend to taste better at higher heats, but it's all individual preferences.

It sounds like its burnt .... it can happen very easy with Ciscos especially if your using 100% VG

You really need to do the 10 drops and wait 10 min .... I've rushed it and the 10 min makes a difference.
Once you get that burnt its pretty much done unless you de-wick it.

Even with the 10 minutes I've had them burn on the first hit if I use AVE juice straight up ... I go 70/30 or 60/40 for all my juice.

Hope you get it figured out.

I forgot all about his instructions!
I just popes it in, squonked it, and hit it.
I still have another one to try so I'll go ahead and prime it and let it sit for a while. Thanks y'all!

Hard to wait for it isn't it!
You have more guts than me when it comes to multimeters. I have looked at them many times, but not purchased yet. I am so scared I will fry something. Would love to check my atty's, but just don't trust myself.

There is no way to fry anything checking an atty with a multimeter Karen. Its very simple, I promise you.

A hay seed settled inside my Cisco a week or so ago. Pina Colada and hay seeds don't mix, let me tell ya. I cleaned out the DT, blew off the atty, reprimed by direct dripping, and then proceeded to squeeze and vape for the rest of the day. By day 2 of vaping (and also direct dripping as well whenever the "flavor" was just too awful), it regained it's good old boy status. I hope yours recovers. Cisco has a tutorial on his site btw. (for those who've never used a Cisco, this is a headsup memo)

I had never used one before, I've seen them but didn't know how to use them. I was at walmart the other day and bought a multimeter, some soldier, and a soldiering iron. (I've never used them before either, but am going to start making some small plastic mods to sell friends, how hard can it be right?) but the multimeter that I bought was so easy to figure out. It came with an instruction book that told me exactly how to test my attys/carto's out. I don't know how to use it to test the batteries yet, but testing attys is really easy, I followed the instructions and did it! It was only $12 at walmart so it isn't like your blowing that much money on it, and it payed for itself already. I had ordered a 306 atty from iVape.net, and HATED IT, so when I got the multimeter I was using it on everything I could test, just to get used to it. The 306 was supposed to be 2ohm, but when I tested it, it was 3+ ohm, so next time I ordered from him I put that on the notes section, and he sent me the correct one! I checked it, its good.

Testing batteries is easy as pie. turn the dial to the lowest volt setting, place the red lead on the positive (button) end of the battery, and the black lead on the negative (flat) end.

Thanks! I'll give it a try, I'm also patiently waiting for two aw imr 3.7 volt 123style batteries so I can try some HV vaping! It will be good to know what those batteries are charged to before I use them.
