Hey has anyone else noticed a 'scotch-tape' kinda flavor from the V4L 555 cartos? Or is it just me...

And what would you say is the best tobacco flavor out there? I smoked Camel Wides for years, and the Camel flavor juice... well, it's good but I'm looking for something better...

I don't know if anybody else mentioned this, but just take out the filling from a cart and drip directly on the atty bridge. Put the cart back and puff. Same as a drip tip, but a smaller hole, and you still have to line the cart up correctly. I did that for a couple days until my tip came. I'm pretty much dripping 80% of the time. Love it.

Welcome to ECF Clinton. I have the V4L U. U. manual kit and love it. I'm using the E2 carts now, they are great! I dripped on my Blu for awhile but didn't care for it. I still use the Blu and drip when testing juice mixes but not regularly. I've seen some mod boxes with batts which you can change while on camping trips, just carry extra charged batts. Enjoy!

Where did you get the E2 carts? Those are the ceramic ones, right? I heard they were better, I don't see 'em at V4L...
Even though I have an eGo coming, I love my V4L kit also and will more than likely still use it quite a bit.

Once you figure out exactly how to drip without getting a mouthful of juice, it is so much better than carts! I ordered delrin drip tips with my eGo, but I got the eGo size, and the eGo atty is just too clunky feeling for me, so I ended up getting stainless steel drip tips from Super T. It did take me a while to get it, but once I did, I really didn't like having to go back to carts for my drive in to work. So I ended up ordering the Super T juice feeder, and it took me a week before I could successfully use it without flooding my atty. Four months ago, I had a DSE901 and was happy, now that's stored away in the tackle box, I have my eGo, a wetbox, and I just got a Saber Touch. I think I can finally stop buying more hardware, and concentrate on finding that illusive perfect juice.

Regardless of what you buy, have fun with it, I figure I may not be saving any money yet, but eventually I will be!

Cheers!

Awesome that you are diving in head first Clinton. I dont have the eGo yet, but should be getting an 808 version of that soon. Does anyone know where I can get the E2808 cartos?
I have to say that the mods seem like the way to go for battery life, the 18650's look like they would last forever. I plan on making my own wetbox using one of those, and hopefully I will be able to vape'n'go for 2 days or more withouth fiddling with anything.
As for juices, I have started to like vikingvapors, they are good about shipping quick, and the flavors are awesome (be sure you would actually like what you order though {like dont order anything mequite if you dont LOVE bbq})

If anyone has tips on making a wetbox, please let me know I am ordering parts very soon.

Hi Clinton! Welcome to the world of vaping!

I am a V4L 808 user but I also have an EGO and just wanted you to know that Good Prophets has the best 510 batt - 808 carto adaptors as they are adjustable. I didn't know this at first and when I used the adaptor the draw was so tight I couldn't use my V4L cartomizers.

I did some reading here on ECF and found a link to a video that shows you how to adjust the draw on the adaptor. Worked like a charm! Be sure and take a look at it so you will be able to use your 808 cartos successfully!

Thanks everyone.. I just got my eGo today... I don't know about this...

Yeah, I read your other thread. Sucks that your experience isn't going the greatest. I didn't see that you had a KR8 too. I've read that you get about a half volt less from the eGo. I don't have first hand experience with this, but I love my eGo. I use pretty high vg most of the time and get blinding plumes of vapor. I get my atty pretty hot though.

Hope it works out for you, you can't beat the battery life!
