Oh yeah, about how many puffs should you get off of 3 drops before adding more?

And how much millage does one generaly get out of a good new atty?

I get 3 drags per drop. Each drag is about 6 to 7 seconds minimum.

I haven't had any atomizers quit yet, but I rarely use them. Prefer KR808D-1 cartomizers, using 510-battery to 808/901-atomizer adapters (99 cents each at goodprophets.com).

Are you using the eGo Fast USB charger? If not, it could take a lot longer than 3 hours to charge your ego battery.

I got an eGo in the mail today. I was hoping to try dripping... this thing sucks. I don't know if I'm doing it wrong but I can't get NEAR the vapor I'm getting with my KR808-D1... It worked okay with the cartidge but when I tried dripping I could barely get any vapor at all. I tried 3 drips as I've seen in videos on youtube.. but so far I am NOT liking this thing at all. Also one of the batteries is bad! (I can't believe my luck with batteries, ended up with bad KR808 batts too when I first started) .. I really hope this eGo experience gets better, so far I am VERY disappointed. I was excited when it got here but now I'm just totally bummed. I read that 'short of a mod, you can't get better vapor than an eGo with an LR atomizer' ... so far this thing is pathetic...

Anybody got any pointers?

I wouldn't use an LR atomizer on an eGo. Like MistressNomad said, it can kill batteries, even though some people keep recommending them and haven't had any problems yet. It really helps to read a bunch of threads here when you're new, so you can read all opinions and find out who to believe and who not to believe. Sorry to say, but there's a lot of bad advice given here, especially by some members who are new to vaping.

Well I think I got this dripping thing down now. I'm using the stock atty's that came with the kit, and I'm getting plenty of vapor. I can even drip down the drip tip without removing it now, and not get juice in my mouth. Now that I've broken it in a bit and gotten used to it, I gotta say this thing is pretty awesome. I'm going back and forth with my eGo and my KR808-D1 (Vapor King). I am loving it. Thanks to everybody here for all the info and advice. I'd be lost with you folks and the ECF. I love this place and plan to become a supporting member soon. :)

I don't plan on putting the LR atty on my eGo. I get enough vapor without it, and I don't want to risk killing my batteries. I'll be getting a larger one that can handle it soon, though. I read that 'the vapor can knock your socks off if you're not careful' or so a review on litecigusa says. I can't wait to try it!

Well I have 7 boxes of LR Boge carto's and plan on using all of them, lol. Knock on wood - no problems as of yet. I have used LR off and on for 1.5 months but only use them now.

One thing to consider is these are 2.0 Ohms and many LR are 1.5. I wonder if this why I have had no issues...

I think that's the reason. I've only used 2.0 Ohm atty's from LiteCigUSA.com and haven't had one problem. Most places sell the 1.5 Ohm ones. I don't ever plan on trying those, I bet those are the ones that kill the Ego batteries.

I'm don't know what the ohm-age is on my LR. I haven't gotten that far yet. This e-cig thing is crazy! There are so many options out there.. and so much to learn. Even with just the eGo the options available are mind boggling! And even though it is all a bit confusing, I love it! I absolutely love it! I plan on learning everything I can about vaping, mods, batteries, atomizers, etc. . Vaping is one of the best discoveries of my life!

I am sorta technically inclined (I don't mean to brag) I was taking things apart as soon as I was old enough to hold a screwdriver lol... In the future, when I get a descent amount of knowledge, I plan on making my own mod. I'm am REALLY getting into this and learning more about vaping and vaping devices every day. I am hungry for knowledge... eventually I'll know enough to make a mod that will totally kick ....! Until that day comes, however, my VK and my eGo are making me very happy!

Well I am totally technically challenged. The only reason i know that the Boge LR carto's are 2.0 ohms is that it says it on the package - ha. I looked around after this concern came up and noticed that many LR are 1.5. While this may not sound like much I think that the difference may be significant (I don't know the math).

Either way, I ordered more after this concern came up. I will use them until proven otherwise.

I've been using a 1.7 exclusively on a 650 ego I designated as my LR ego for the last month or so so far so good if I kill no big deal I only paid $11 for this ego.

Is Cisco atty the same company as the big company Cisco (CSCO)? I keep seeing this and think no way as this seems to be totally out of their business. But I would think it has to be same company - same name. Just seems odd to me that a company this big would enter a small market like this - unless they are used for something else.

After my first LR atty sapped two of my Little Chuck's 18350s literally within minutes, I read everything I could find about LR atties and battery compatibility.

The best information I found came from Drozd in this post where near the end he sagaciously and succinctly summarizes:

3 batteries and 3 batteries only that are going to push LR atties (to their capability)without damaging the battery...
about any 18650
AW IMR 16340
AW IMR 14500
and that's the cold truth of it...

I ordered a couple of 16340s and now my LR atties would probably melt the drip-tip long before the battery dies.

Thanks Scott. I read about half the thread (It is long). It looks to me that my Boge LR which are only 2.0 Ohms is exactly the reason I have not had any issues as they are not really "low resistance" in that most are 1.5 or 1.7. My guess is that Boge may have seen the issue of going that low on a non high drain battery and why they made them 2.0 instead - but just a guess.

With that said, 2.0 ohms is going to drain the battery more rapidly than 3.3 or something and will still reduce the life. I am not concerned about that issue as all batteries will poof anyhow - it is just a matter of when. I just don't want them to poof too quickly.

Based on that thread (at least as much as i have read of it) people should strongly consider avoiding LR atty's/carto's in the 1.5 range, perhaps even 1.7. 2.0 ohms, hard to say but may be fine.

It would help if I actually understood the math like Drozd does.... but I still can comprehend the concept - somewhat.

Edit: I had to look up sagaciously - great word, lol. Sagacious: astutely: in a shrewd manner.

I guess i should read things other than internet or stock charts.............

When i did use Attys i stuck with Boge 2.5 ohm, no battery stress and amazing vapor. BUT E2 cartos are where its at. Research them, order one pack which is 5 for around 9 bucks (vendor of your choice) and if at 3.7 volts your not happy then it wasn't really a waste of money. Most attys are a few bucks less and can burn out in days.
