My wife, 6 months into my adventure into the world of vaping, still asks me for a lighter. I gave up telling her I don't have one and now just give her the "really" look

I still carry a lighter in case my girl needs one (she still smokes :( ). I guess I'm just a boy scout, I always have a lighter, Leatherman Squirt and Victorinox Swiss Army knife in one pocket and band-aids in my wallet! I'm ready for anything!

Back when I was using the aga t-2, someone asked for a light and I pulled off the top cap and lit his analog with the coil! Then I told him if he didn't want to be in this position again, he should switch to vaping. He goes, "What is vaping?", and then the conversation ensued and now he's all electric (i'm a cab driver and see him time to time in the area I work).

That's great! Love it!
But wait until you get your first... "Can I try that?" with your e-cig. I now carry extra mouth protectors (those little rubber sleeves that cover the mouthpiece) because every time I go out, someone asks! (... it's either that, or they no longer can try and flirt with me by trying to light my cigarette, so this is their newest move!) Lol!

With me, it's more an issue of saying no. I have specific people who will randomly ask to bum several cigs a day. But I'm afraid if I say no, they'll stop talking to me or stop asking me to hang out on break. So I'd always do it. And it got expensive. Now I don't have to say no and lie about it. Lying isn't in my nature, and I feel immediately guilty if I lie over something as small as having cigarettes to loan. I also was concerned if I ran out at work, no one would bum me any just because I told them no. I believe that is more the issue than anything else.

I'm just afraid to tell people no. It makes me come off as weak (I think it does), but now it's like too bad so sad, go buy your own. What's worse is these are people who are "quitting", so they don't buy their own packs. They just bum off everyone else.

A bic lighter, an accessory as prevalent on me as my nose or my ears just a few days ago, has disappeared. I have no clue where one is and I don't care. Especially after I tried to light my cigalike with it a few days ago.

ROFL I've done that twice now! Not too much damage thankfully.

I always used a lighter to open my beer bottles (non twist off). I don't think I want to try it with the bottom of my spinner. Afraid to break off the adjuster

Ha! That is awesome! I can't even light people's smokes any more if they ask for a lighter. I should just let they try my e-cig instead!

Hey man, just let me rip my atomizer apart and pull the wick. I can dry burn and get it lit!! lol

One of my co-workers asked me the other week to bum a smoke. Of course I talked to her about my vaping. Ended up going out to the smoking area with her a few times while she smoked. A few days later, she came back asking about e-cigs. We are taking her to one of the local shops tomorrow to get her set-up on her own e-cig and juices. I constantly go to the smoking area to vape. Hope others follow along with interest.
