So i took the guys advise (oombok and sarje) I ordered the kts with the batteries and a nimbus v5

now for the +- 3 week wait

Great news. Sure you're gonna love that set up. Liking the look of the new flat top KTS (ordered one myself the other day). Not sure if you've got any silica wick yet? They do stock it at FT for something like a $ a meter. If there's any lead time on the other items, and you haven't got any wick, order a few metres and mail FT to stick it in with the order - they're very accomodating. 4 wraps of 32 on each coil brings you right on at 1 ohm.


Shot for picking up that RSST for me yesterday VM, really appreciate it. Good community of guys we've got here. Reckon we could put some of the other national groups to shame!

I've got quite a few of those ultrafire orange batteries. They work great in the vamo and evic in short mode, but won't really work too well in a mech. They're unprotected and low drain. The Efest batteries have a good reputation and are reasonably priced all the ones I've seen are safe chemistry high drain. Trouble is, they don't do them on fasttech. I'm still looking for a decent option on getting some Efest 18350 and 18500s myself.
You might be pleasantly surprised just how short the KTS is in 18650 mode...

By the way, don't even waste your time with the trustfire protected batteries on FT either. Ordered a couple a while ago, they're c**p. If you wanna go stealth and need some batteries quick, rather go with the Ultrafire oranges, just don't let your resistance go too low on them.

That pic of your kts is that in 18650 mode? Look like the same size as vamo In 18350 mode
