I Just Quit My Job!!!!

Congrats! It sucks working for people who don't respect you and treat you like a slave. I'm doing it now and I HATE going to work.

I work IT for a guy that has no idea what my real role in the company is, therefore he never listens to me, then will yell at me when the exact bad situation I was trying to get him to avoid happens. He hates women, doesn't give out raises (been here 3 years and not a SINGLE penny), treats my boyfriend whom I work with like gold, and doesn't do business honestly or morally correct 90% of the time.

So yay to you for getting out of there! Life it too short to dread the days!

I am glad you will be able to travel with your husband. I have always found if you don't like your work then its better for you and your family if you quit. You can always carry your laptop with you on the road.

I woke up this morning to 13 text msg's on my phone!

They start out with the usual I'm so sorry, was having a bad few days and end with please come back to work for me I will give you a raise.

I deleated them and attempted to block his #.

I am happy I quit, hubby is happy I quit, and I am not worried, I know I should be in times like these, but I'm not, I feel at peace.

The wonderful thing about all this.....in the past I would have smoked packs upon packs of cigs....stressing over this, I am proud to say I did not have a single one!!!

Vaped my head but did not smoke.

Sounds like congrats is in order. I've never had the balls to just up and roll out on a job (although it's not that I haven't wanted to)....hopefully you'll find something better. Just think...your stress levels going down will be good for your health.

I never did understand why women in IT don't get the credit they deserve...especially when it comes to money. Some people just don't get it.

Wow I agree!
This has so gotten out of hand, my hubby returned his call, and the guy starts threatening my entire family, hubby told him that he needed to back off and let it go, and understand that I have quit. To quit calling, texting either one of us.
Next thing you know he is texting hubby telling him that I am unfaithful (not the words he used) when hubby is gone for months at a time, and that I said all kinds of nasty things about my husband in confidence to him. Which of course I never did.
Well of course hubs laughed about it, but we had to call our phone provider and arrange to get his numbers blocked, the block will not take affect for 24 hours.
This guy is insane!
I am saving all his texts and voice mails...and if I have to use them I will.

I am so glad I quit when I did, I mean I knew the guy was off, I did not know he was crazy!!!

My big ole strapping son decided to come over and stay until hubs comes back on Tuesday.

This guys is an elected offical? Is he crazy? This could turn out very bad for him if he continues. It sounds like he is thowing a major hissy fit because he didn't get what he wanted.
But you are right to have someone around..he could just slid off his trolly in a major way.
If you have any friends in the police Dept. I would talk with them. Don't go too far..but make sure they know what is going on just in case.

MaryKay, yes he is, and I know he is on a drinking binge right now. I am being safe and the phone company put a block on his calls. Have not called the police, but I will if I have to.
The sad thing is he is parinoid(SP?) because I know way too much personal info about him, he is going through a messy divorce, and has been in trouble with the law but it has been kept all hush hush, I think he thinks I am going to spill the beans on him. So he is thinking that if he threatens me and my family I will keep quiet.
