I have been a pack smoker daily for the past 10 years and I haven't lit a stick since vaping last night. ✌

Excellent! Did you start vaping recently?

I started vaping September 7th, 2015, and took me about two weeks to quit completely. I only broke down around 10 times...and I felt bad afterwards. Terrible taste and went right back to vaping.

@Tinksy - You're doing GREAT so far! Keep going!

After smoking 1-1 1/2 packs a day for 40+ years...I had my last cigarette January 2014. Never have had the urge for another one, and am sure I never will.

I absolutely love vaping! No stinky smell, no ashtrays, much lower cost, and better healthwise as a huge bonus. Wish I'd switched long ago. Now I've also successfully switched 10 friends, past co-workers, neighbors, etc. over to vaping, too, with more to come.

My uncle who has probably been smoking since he was 10yrs old received a pen from his son on one of his birthdays, but he, his wife, and sister in law are tough nuts to crack. I'll keep working on them by vaping around them when I see them, but they mentioned it at the Mayo Clinic, and a nurse waylaid in to them about even thinking about vaping. They're a hard sell now, yet, I KNOW this is far better for them.

That nurse was obviously not aware of the positive health reports that many of us who switched to vaping awhile ago...have been receiving from our doctors at Check-Up time. Mine said my blood pressure has consistently been lower, my oxygen level in my blood has consistently been higher, and my lungs sound better when he checks them!

Neighbor down the street (longtime smoker that I got to switch to vaping within the last 6-7 months)...got an exhuberant "thumbs up" and pat on the back from his doctor at a recent Check-up when he told him he'd changed to vaping from cigarettes. Warren said the Dr. was thrilled with his results, too, regarding his BP, breathing, and increased oxygen levels.

Warren and I are also part of Moffitt Cancer Center's 4-year long, $3.6 million study on ecigarettes. (They are a very highly respected Cancer Center here in Florida, by the way.) As part of their Tobacco Cessation Department's study, they're seeking to find out any/all of the potential health benefits of ecig use compared to cigarette smoking, how long ex-smokers/current vapers remain ex-smokers over time, how the transitioning from smoking to vaping is done by many who succeed, and the most beneficial IMO...even the possibility of ecigs finally being scientifically proven to be a smoking cessation device!

Vaping inside the Tobacco Cessation Department building, is allowed at all times, in all parts of the building. It was even allowed while I was being interviewed as a study member by the doctors in charge of the study. Now, if well-known, highly respected Cancer Center doctors do that...that nurse you mentioned should NOT have said what she did to your relatives. She did them a huge disservice IMO. The study can be looked up online so they can check the authenticity of what I've said above, if it might help them disregard what she said and reconsider vaping.

That sounds like a great program. I took my 150W Sigelei to one of my doctors, and she was thrilled. I was using Nicotrol, and had been for about four months using the same amount of nicotine or more. She allowed me to show her how it worked and vape in her office too. She is very progressive, so I did not have a bridge too far to cross with her.
