I would not try to talk you out of the Reo, but I will tell you why I'll never be buying one...

I change my juice flavors many times each day, sometimes every cigarette break.
I often carry 5 little 3ml juice bottles in my pocket, each with a different flavor.

This won't work with a Reo Grand, nor any juice-feeding mod for that matter.
But if a juice-feeding mod turns out to be what you are looking for, you almost certainly can't go wrong with a Reo.

The Riva510 and the eGo are going to perform exactly the same except that the Riva510 is 750mah vs 650mah for the eGo.. so the Riva510 will last about an hour longer between charges.

You can get the Riva510 for $34 or the eGo for $40 here: 20% off your whole order!

DON'T FORGET TO BUY ABOUT 40ML OF VARIOUS E-JUICES... people usually do well with 24mg but get a variety just in case.

Thank you Rosa. The Riva 510 it is. I'm just getting off analogs and will go with the 24mg. Thanks again.. Tortoise

Which.. brings me right back to your first post. I think a little time to process is exactly right on. I'll order the Riva as well as some different juice's (which I've never even tried) and hang back awhile on this decision. Thanks once again DC2. And thank you to all here. What a great bunch. I would also look into getting a Chuck. The 6v model can double as a 3.7 with a simple battery change, it's quite robust and you can add custom graphics if you like. The only drawback as far as I can see is the button. I haven't broken mine yet (I treat it like my iPhone), but it can happen if you drop it just right. Should that be the case, just send it in and they'll repair it in a timely fashion.

I also change my flavors on the REO, and it is not a problem installing a new bottle every time I do.

Hi Banjo. I also read and saw a video about squirting juice in the overflow area for single hits. Have you tried this? It really sounds like a work horse.... and, changing out a bottle.. how much trouble or time is that?

I do that all the time. Vape for a bit, and before I need to squeeze the juice bottle, add a few drops into the overflow. The atty sucks it right up.

Changing out the bottle takes about 5 seconds, ten if you bother to blow out the old flavor and wipe off the atty.

There really is no one answer to this question. For a real workhorse I would suggest an all mechanical mod. No electrical components to fry. I also think that cheap easy to replace batteries are a must. It should also accept basic threaded atties probably the most versatile is the 510. You can always get an adapter if need be. Variable voltage sounds nice but again you are breaking the KISS rule. Simple is better if you are looking for a mod that will last for ever. Variable voltage can be accomplished in many ways without needing to have a mod that includeds electronics. Many models use various batteries to give different voltages and that combined with different oHm atties gives a ton of options without the electronics. Threading and Spring size are also important. Bigger is better. Mods with fine threads are too easy to cross thread. Small springs need to be changed too often. The button is also a very important consideration. Preferably it would lock and be sturdy enough that you should never have to worry about it.

So were does that leave us?? I don't know. Right now I own a Megalodon. Very nice size tons of battery options but the threads are so small that it is a nightmare, unless you are extreemely careful you will crossthread it and have no end of problems. The spring is tiny. The button is locking and very sturdy that is a plus.

GlV, limited to five volts and has electronics. But it's the most sturdy of all the mods I have owned. Great threads, huge solid Spring. No locking button but it's on top so it's not that big of a deal.

GGTB, very sturdy, locking button also solid. great threads and decent spring. Fairly versitile 3.7v 6v or 7.4 volt 901 connector but the adapter for 510 works great. So as far as workhorse goes I would say that out of the Mods I own right now it would be number one for being sturdy and versatile. They are also very affordable compared to many other mods.

I went with a Reo Grand mainly because I got fed up with filling cartridges and their inconsistency. Cartomizers at 3.7 volts were just "meh."

The Reo Grand comes with a native 510 connection, but I was steered towards a stealth adapter and IKV 801 attys, which are working great for me.

I have the option of vaping at 3.7, 5.0, 6.0, and 7.4 volts, depending on which batteries and chargers I purchase.

Most importantly, Rob, the inventor and builder of Reos, stands firmly behind his mods. If anything at all were to go wrong with my Reo, all I'd have to do is send it to Rob and he'd fix it up and ship it back to me in short order. He doesn't have to do this too often because Reo's are well designed, durable, and 100% mechanical.

The Reo is a great mod, but there are several other factors to manage to make it work for you. Attys or cartos, drip tips/"mouth piece", batteries, and juice.

You can spend a good deal of money beyond the purchase price of a Reo trying to find the combo that suits you. But when you DO find it, oh happy day!

The way I see it, it's like I've read elsewhere on this forum: It's cheaper than lung cancer.

Good luck to ya.

Just saw a reo grand in the classifieds

Thanks for the heads up. After thinking about it I thought what the heck. I figured that a Riva shipped with juice would put me in the $50 mark or so. I wrote the ad for this Rio and I'll tell you! What a stand up guy. He made me a great deal on the Rio Grand with all the trimmings, including some different flavor juice's as well as spare atty's and other stuff. He is sure one nice guy to deal with. He does like the Rio and over the phone described a lot of things about it. He's gone the full route from Ego's on up. He doe's like the Ali-i the most and had very little use on his Reo. He's also a neighbor here in New Mexico. Anyway, I now have a Rio on the way. Thank you one and all for your help. I must say that there are quite a few of you that like the Rio.

And this post by Mudflap: This really pushed me over the side... thanks for your imput. I like all the voltage possibilitys as well as the single hit use in the well part.

And I'd like to add a special thanks to everyone again. Rosa, you and DC2 are right on. My e cig from faststop just quit again and I figured I'd go for it all the way right now since there was a Reo in the classifieds. I just want you to know that I truly respect your opinion and should wait......but I just bought 2 packs of analogs and really liked the feedback on the Reo..so, hopefully this will work out. Again, thanks all. Tortoise

I hope you like it, thedeserttortoise. I just want to emphasize that there is a learning curve to finding your sweet spot with a Reo. Some folks get it with their first dance, others have to experiment a bit more. This thread is full of happy, Reo veterans, so if you have any questions about it, post them there and you'll get tons of helpful advice. It's a very chatty thread, but don't let that stop you. And be prepared to offer up pictures of your Reo. They will be demanded.

I dub thee, Soon-to-be-Reonaut! :p
