I love Tiki Juice... perhaps a bit too much. I find myself sitting there just puffing away with it in my Triton tank. I keep burning the wicks doing doing that. I've been trying to catch myself when I take too many puffs, but Tiki Juice is just so good! I can't help myself! LOL

So, my question is if I got a VV and some 3.0-3.2ohm coils, what kind of extended puffage do you think I could get without wick burning?

heh I said "puffage."

I have two tritan batterys, a reg and a vv. I take turns between each device because i feel like i puff too much on just the one. Thats just what i have been doing when im vaping like mad....seems to work. Other than that the vv is great for reaching new spots within the flavor and vapor spectrum. It works pretty well for me even when im just hitting the vv over and over without burning wicks. Hope this helps

I kept burning wicks with Tiki Juice. Even with a vv and the 3.0 coils, I'd char the wicks after 3-4 drags. I'd get a loud pop sound, then burnt flavor. I started a thread about it here, but no one els said they had any issues.

The only thing that keeps my wicks from burning is removing the top wick (the one that's not attached to the coil). They still burn, but not neat as often as when I used both wicks. There's a bit less flavor now, but at least I'm not vaping charred wicks.

This is one ofthose times that a bottom coil clearomizer has an advantage. Some ejuices will thicken more than others while vaping, the wicks slowly fail to wick the thicker juice as well, and eventually where the wick meets the coil, it becomes a bit less saturated and then can char easily. Top coil clearos are my preference, but for some flavors I do better with bottom coil clearos such as the Evod. That is why I'd love to see Halo offer a Triton threaded bottom coil tank as well as the otherwise excellent Triton tanks.

You are not alone. I have been having issues with only Tribeca which of coarse is my favorite juice. At first I was fine with my normal 1300 Triton tank. Then I noticed it was giving me burnt tastes. Then I emptied the tank and cleaned it out with water and let it dry for 24 hours and it continued to happen (including putting a 3.0 wick on). Then I bought a VV and had the same issues. I used a brand new tank and when I go to high in voltage (anything above 3.8) I get a burnt taste. But if I keep the volts lower it tastes acceptable. I can't tell if I am doing something wrong or what (I do not know how to troubleshoot this stuff yet). It even looks like the juice gets darker towards the bottom of the tank. I have not looked at the wicks close enough to see if they are burning though I will have to open it up and check it out.

I have been noticing the same thing with Tribeca as well. When the tank is full no problem, but at about half way it gets that burnt taste. Even with the Swirly clearo dance. I just did my monthly order and got some 2.6-2.8 heads to try just for Tribeca. I don't use a VV, straight Triton 1300's give me no problems with any other juice. I just keep my Tribeca topped off, but hopefully the new heads will help a bit.

I gave up on using Tribeca in a tank a while ago. It seems to be hard on the coils. I wasn't over vaping it, but either it evaporates too well or doesn't wick well. Tribeca does seem to be a bit thicker than most other Halo juices. I was changing coils every other day, just about. Got some 3.0ohm coils, but they didn't help.

On the other hand, I had Prime 15 in a tank for a few weeks and never changed the coil once. When I decided to reuse my tank, I checked the wick by pulling it out (I don't reuse coils) and it had the tiniest bit of burning on it. Not much at all. Never tasted it.

Tiki Juice, though, I am puffing on like a mad man. I've been trying to take some primer puffs as jefsview suggested and that seems to be making it much better. I might still get a VV when they have the 3.0ohm coils in... I donno. I'm undecided as I prefer set and forget, but if it helps, then I might have to order a pair. (One to use, one to charge. Always like a fresh battery available.)

I got some of these guys yesterday, and they are fantastic...I wish Halo would market their own, though.

Weird thing, though...I have a perfectly clear juice, Texas Sweet Tea from MBV, that I mix with Spearmint. Now I LOVE this flavor (it's like pure sugar, really...not much tea taste), but after about half a tank, it just fries the wick. To the point that the clear juice turns the color of Tribeca! This happens on Triton tanks as well as EVODs...doesn't seem to matter. I wonder if it's just the sugar, or if I'm burning wicks...doesn't really taste like burning...gonna test one of the new Mini T3s in a little while.
