Since I have become a 'juice junky' (@ ;) Kanza) I either have not been diligent enough in cleaning or I am overfilling. I have a bunch of auto diamonds that keep starting on their own, always on,blinking, etc.
Right now I am using the one manual that I have and even though I love my autos, it's becoming a pain to use them.
I think I am going to have to get use to the button again...
Oh well it's still better than smoking ever was!

plantlvr, I know that there has been some discussion on filling, etc. - so forgive me if i forgot: how are you filling? Just wondering. I'm sorry you're having difficulties! I do like both autos and manuals. I have been meticulous about the autos; except for one I got sloppy with, only the one time. It was acting like you described above. I guess I got lucky because I shook it over and over and it has acted normal ever since....... I keep waiting for it to go crazy again!

About cleaning... I know SnowDragon's video says to not use any solvent when brushing the auto batt connector, but what if you trim a buttplug and stuff it in the hole? Would that make it safer to get some alcohol brushed onto the connector?

And about Syringe filling: I've quickly learned that if I inject slowly, then retract the plunger till it pulls air, then when I blow out the carto, there's no excess.

I never said that.....

The only thing that can be done is to twist up a mouse tail with some paper towel insert it into the post hole in a twisting motion as far as it will go and try to soak up any juice. Unfortunately if the is firing off the LED, the juice that is causing the issue is located much further down that the paper towel will reach.

...hoping this works...
How to Clean Vapor4Life Batteries and Passthroughs - YouTube
time mark 5:50 (paraphrased: "we don't push the battery into the bristles of the brush because fluid could get into the hole")
So... if one were to plug it, it might be OK to use a damp brush?
I can't get the connector as clean without using a brush as I can with.

Thank you for initially misquoting me, then going on to paraphrase me. It's like admitting your are wrong, without admitting your wrong. Then skewing your follow-up mis-statement and proceeding in the same initial vain to opine on the false pretense that you are not wrong.

Your comments are exceedingly pedantic as the video clearly illustrates after the 5:50 mark the use of dipping a toothpick into the alcohol to clean the center post ring for auto batteries.

I invite anyone to simply watch between the 5:30 mark and 6:30 mark. By all means if you would like to continue on with this matter please do. I must admit that I do have some underlying sadistic tendencies that appreciate and applaud viewing others consistent intellectual masochism.

When you say, "I know SnowDragon's video says to not use any solvent when brushing the auto batt connector, but" that is a completely false statement. It is the exact opposite of what I said. I clearly state, "You can use Vodka, Alcohol as in Iso Alcohol, or even Hot Water". I will be using Alcohol with the bottle in the picture of 90% Iso (which I advise, not lower).

Since we all strive to be nice (plantlvr, I'm sorry, please bare with me) here I replied, "I never said that". That was me nicely telling you, you are completely off the mark and to kindly watch the video again. I clearly see on the video that indeed I am scrubbing the threads with a toothbrush dipped in Iso Alcohol.

Then afterwards I clearly note that I will be using a toothpick dipped in Iso Alcohol to clean the channel or Post Connector Ring. When you reply and now further insist on of all things..
paraphrasing..(paraphrased: "we don't push the battery into the bristles of the brush because fluid could get into the hole") from "not use any solvent" which was inaccurate to begin is...well...ridiculous. How do either of these statements relate to each other?

sorry Plantlvr, this won't happen again.

Dude! I was just asking questions based on how I interpreted your videos. I was not questioning your legitimacy or anything like that. What I understood from your videos was that its bad to use a damp brush on an auto as aggressively as you would on a manual. If we agree that is what you intended, then I was saying that for me, I can never get my autos as clean as the manuals (for the same reason), and was asking if you (or anyone else) had any feelings on using a buttplug to seal that hole on the auto, and get more aggressive with the damp brush. Yes, in my initial question, I left some details out for the sake of brevity. I figured you'd know what you had said and hadn't, and that I did not need to go thru a point-by-point detailed description to get you to understand that the point of my question was whether a buttplug in the auto batt might allow more options. Your initial reply demonstrates you completely ignored THAT point of my question, and focused on how I was somehow twisting your words.

By no means was ever attacking you. I thought you were legendary for helping bring a calmer/funner/saner "attitude" of this forum. I respected you. Too bad you've lost so much credibility with ME thanks to this thread. Oh well. Out.

Yes, in my initial question, I left some details out for the sake of brevity.

Stating the exact opposite of what is clearly noted on the video has nothing remotely to do with brevity

Your initial reply demonstrates you completely ignored THAT point of my question, and focused on how I was somehow twisting your words.

Somehow? Really? My initial reply was to redirect you to watch the video again and correct your obvious mis-statement. Instead you chose to rationalize, compound, and deflect your mis-statement by paraphrasing a further flawed and completely unrelated interpretation.

There seems to be a huge disconnect between how we interpret or perceive reality. It is clearly noted that both Auto and Manuals receive the same aggresive cleaning of the threads, air intake holes, and outer post ring. This only leaves the top or surface of the post connector which on batteries never collects hardened residue and can simply be wiped off with a dry piece of tissue. Manual batteries which are sealed and have a pocket in the center which does collect hardened residue can be cleaned with a brush.

The continued deflection and conflation followed by victim claims is....fascinating.

If I specifically lose your respect and credibility, congratulations! You are now part of a select group of individuals and quite frankly that is a cross I happily bare. The good news is that there is a small support group here to help you, perhaps they will embrace you the day you completely misquote them. Then continue to insist upon yourself even after they have given you a polite opportunity to correct your mis-statement.

Hey Snow I understand that you put a lot of time and effort into your very helpful vids and replys to all the questions asked, but I really can't understand your attack on plarkinjr, he's only been vaping a few months and he has apologized to you. Please lets just kill this thread cus it just isn't worth seeing two people I really like on this forum attacking each other....
