I keep seeing rumors spread, I want the source (Atlantis)

I have seen multiple people talking about how they have heard somewhere that Aspire is coming out with Nickel based coils for their Atlantis, but no one ever has proof and i hate getting my hopes up based off the rumor mill.

I have seen vaporshark talking about how they are making Nickel based coils for the nautilus (Here), but no where did i see anything about the Atlantis.

Sure we can always say "If they do it for the Nautilus, they will probably do it for the Atlantis". However i want to get down to the bottom of this rumor and find the source.

The reason i want to get to the bottom of this is because it will ultimately effect my decision on whether or not to buy a rDNA 40.

I don't have a clue, but I'm not sure it would be a strategic move for them to do so.

They have nothing to lose putting nickel coils in a Nautilus: to my knowledge, Aspire didn't develop and sell a mod designed to be paired with that tank.

The same can't be said for the Atlantis. Sure they might sell a few more Atlantis tanks if they had nickel coils, but potentially at the cost of a few less sub-ohm mods.

According to Brandon (Evolv), both Kanger and Aspire are making atomizer heads with nickel coils as we speak.

MVP3 is also rumored to contain Evolv DNA 40 chipset (the deluxe edition). Also, a DNA 25 with temperature control is in the works.

So, I'm waiting--and I advise you do the same. :D

I've seen parts of this video (too long to watch it all, but does he ever once talk about the Atlantis specifically? Cause as i linked earlier, he showed that they were working on the Nautilus coils, but i didnt see a thing about the Atlantis

No, he doesn't mention Atlantis--Atlantis is a different animal altogether--it's a sub-ohm device (tank and battery). And AFAIK, Aspire doesn't even have a battery with a DNA 40 technology.

The reason i want to get to the bottom of this is because it will ultimately effect my decision on whether or not to buy a rDNA 40.

I contacted both Aspire and Vaporshark about the nickel BVC coils. Aspire basically just said they are not made by us. Vaporshark said they are custom made for them and will be out within the next few weeks.

I believe any assumptions about nickel coils and the Atlantis are just that, i.e. an assumption not based on anything other than both were "coming soon".

Having said that, I'm sure Aspire and Kanger and both thinking about nickel coils, but as far as I'm aware neither has said anything publicly about them.

The Vaporshark rDNA40 (or any other genuine DNA40) works just fine with any existing kanthal coils including those for the Atlantis. You just don't get coil temp protection without nickel, but all other DNA40 features are fully functional.

It's not going to be much help since it's just my word but I did talk to a Vaproshark rep at the Houston Vape Summit who said they were already in the process of making nickel coils for the Atlantis. Take it for what you will.

Im tempted to take your word for it.

I really like the rDNA 40 but i need to find a reason to buy it even though it has feature i cant use.
