Sounds like a bad batch. I remember my days using pre-filled cartridges and getting those that tasted horribly burnt, ugh. Those are the one's where the juice didn't saturate the polyfill well so it's burning the filler not the juice. All you can do is toss them. I would contact the company and tell them about the number of duds you have received and see if they can send you some replacements at no cost to you.

If and when you want to move on from those just come here and ask. There's plenty of people willing to help you out in finding new upgrade equipement. I'd like to see you get your money's worth out of what you have for at least 2 months, maybe more. Let us know.

ive done lots of research since i ordered this thing.. started smoking a disposable a day and realized 8 bucks a day for this is nuts.

i already have ejuice, but very few smoke shops around me (san diego) seem to carry cartridges from what I can tell. So i have to wait for my shipment from v2 to come in. and spend 8 bucks a day on disposables util then

brand new to rechargables, south beach smoke battery and carts just came inthe mail. I have to be doing something wrong. Ive tried 3 of these. None have had any other flavor outside of 'burnt plastic.' Whats going on?
How many drops of e-juice did you put into each carto? If it's not enough (i.e., less than 5 or 6 drops), then there may not be enough juice to vaporize, so the remainder of the heat generated by the coil inside the carto ends up charring the poly-fill, which is the catalyst inside the cartomizer that soaks in the juice and delivers it gradually to the coil.

V2 is who I used, so yeah I know what you mean. They do have the Liquid Blanks which are nice but don't last nearly as long as the larger clearomizer you can get into. But they aren't bad. I still order them to help taste juices. So are you buying the blanks to fill? or the pre-filled? I know they are a bit pricey and that's why I got into DIY'ing my own ejuice. It's not too hard. Do you mind my asking what flavor you're vaping from V2? I like Congress and Red I believe was the name.

i have either 2 or 3 more 5 packs coming from v2. Figured those would last me awhile along with the ejuice thats coming.. long enough to figure out how much effort was worth saving how much money. i think i have the coffee and cherry coming from them.

i also think I settled on mbv's ejuice which came out to like 11$ for 50ml. I have no idea how quickly ill go through these.. i guessed id be at like 15$ a month, everything considered. Making my own comes out to too close a price to spend the time and energy doing so, plus theres a learning curve and mistakes to be made. Rather pay an extra handful of dollars and be done with it

Was going to buy mbv's empties and refill the prefilleds until then.

Not a fan of the clearomizers. just want something that looks as close to a cigarette as possible

When I got started I used products from V2. I also got some of those carts and chalked it up to my inexperience at the time.
I ended up giving all the V2 stuff to friend so he could try them out and he was not happy either. I guess I also got some bad carts.
My fav from there when I got a good cart was the congress but since moving to a mod setup RY4+4 from Flavorz is my tobacco choice.

Hi dknauf, I think I am one of the few on here who uses cartridges, at least that is willing to admit it :) It sounds like you got a bad, dry, batch as someone suggested, I would try filling one of them with a coordinating flavor of juice, you can use the "condom method" check it out on YT if you are not famiiar with how. If they are dry, this may add enough moisture for you to get a use or two out of them. I use both prefilleds from Eversomke, Vaporzone and South Beach and V2 blanks. To make my prefilleds last longer, I keep the same flavor juice around (you cannot dismantle any of those cartrdges I just mentioned, except the V2s to wash them, to my knowledge) and just refill them using the condom method when the vapor or taste starts to change. They last maybe 1-2 refills and then they will start to taste burnt, period, then you know they are finished. I use the V2 blanks for other flavors that are more "exotic".

I also see the beauty in prefilleds, I play with my juices and fill my cartridges at home, but when I am out working, it is nice to just be able to grab some prefilleds and go. I drive all day and do not want to mess around with juice in my car, that is just me, and again, when I get home I will fill some of those empty prefilled with more juice and get a little more money's worth out of them. It sucks to get a bad batch, they aren't cheap, but see if adding some juice corrects the problem.

This is a common preference for a novice. I was the same way. However, after a couple of weeks use of the "cigalikes", I realized that this setup wasn't going to work for me to quit smoking. You can't expect a battery of that size to perform with the same results of a real cigarette. Short battery life and weak battery output just won't cut it. The sooner that you realize this yourself the better.

I came to the simple conclussion that vaping is different from smoking. It doesn't have to look like a cigarette, because I'M NOT SMOKING, I'M VAPING. If you really want to quit smoking you are going to have to make some consessions, which means you are going to have to upgrade your equipment setup. This means a BIGGER BATTERY and BETTER JUICE DELIVERY ATTACHMENTS.

I'd recommend nothing smaller than an eGo class battery. If you want simplicity of filling despite some inconsistancy, use a clearomizer on top of the battery. For better flavor and better consistancy but with a little more time-consumption, choose a cartomizer or cartotank. These items work and perform much better than pre-filled cartridges and are much cheaper in the long run.

The above suggestions cost some bucks to get started (batteries, charger, juice attachments), HOWEVER once you have those items your recurring costs will be just for the juice and replacement coil heads (clearomizers) or cartomizers (cartotanks). A big cost saving over what you are currently using and struggling with. Stop wasting your money. Get something which WORKS.
