I love Five Pawns Bowdens Mate but....................

Has anyone found anything similar to Bowdens Mate from any other vendor?

I have a bottle of Absolute Pin on order. Knowing my luck (and taste), I will love it too.

I wish someone had something similar to five pawns at a lower price (or five pawns would come down a little closer to earth).

I haven't tried five pawns because of the price. You don't need to spend a fortune for a good vape unless it is a MOD. What did the Bowdens Mate taste like? (Obviously I have an itch but am reluctant to scratch)

I don't remember specifically. It was smooth, unique, somewhat 'exotic'. The flavors were complex and nice but distinct.

I only remember liking it enough to run home and order some for myself all the while fearing what I will do when it arrives and I like it TOO MUCH.

It is going to have to be an occasional treat for me - definitely can't afford to have this become a daily all day vapor.

I will post a review when I get mine.

ETA - one thing that I did like when I was still a suffering cigarette addict was when Camel came out with their flavored cigarettes. They had one called "Twist" that I absolutely loved. It was an orange citrus flavor with a hint of creme. Of course, Big Brother eliminated those (flavored cigarettes) in 2009.



Anyway, Bowdens Mate reminded me of those in a way. Not saying it was the same. But it was a taste similar enough to one I used to like very much.

I didn't think Bowdens mate was anything special.. i thought it really heavy on peppermint and I hate peppermint. I like shamrock from halo much better. The chocolate stands out more and the mint is soft and creamy.. like an Andes candie.

Absolute pin though.. that's a good one. I don't know of any other liquid with that flavor profile. Cinnamon roasted almond from hurricane is similar.. I mix some of that with sweeter vanilla vapes and its a pretty good sub.

I like chocolate mint flavors, and was excited about trying Bowden's Mate because I'm a fan of Five Pawns. But the French vanilla aftermath in that juice isn't my fave. I prefer Massive Chocolate Mint from Alien Visions. It is all VG, so expect it to be a bit thicker than Five Pawns. I use both in a nothing-fancy tank on an ego C twist and it does just fine. YMMV.

The website says: "Crisp mint with subtle chocolate undertones and a French vanilla finish. Delicate yet soft with a refreshing tingle and medium to full bodied throat hit."

Again, I like it, but can't afford to like it too often!!

Everyone who has tried it is been like..........silent for a moment.......eyes rolled upward, darting left and right, then BANG "Ooooooooh", then more silence............."is that?" "wait"................"tastes like..................." more silence "is that mint?" "what is that" "what ELSE is that" "Man, that's good"......................."Man, that is REAL good"................."But what the heck IS that?"

The Absolute Pin, which they describe as "Intense complexity of Irish cream, cinnamon spice, and caramel with subtle absinthe undertones. Lively and with a medium to full bodied throat hit." is nice but, for me, seems like I'm vaping a Schnapps or Sambucca or some kind of licquoer. It's elicit. Maybe that's just some weird psychosomatic thing with me but I literally feel like it gives me a buzzzzzzzzz. Definitely not an ADV but really cool to drag from in the evenings during the unwind phase.

I would highly recommend Atomic Grasshopper by Heather's Heavenly Vapes.

The chocolate flavor is stronger than with Bowden's Mate (it's still not the dominant flavor, but it is much less subtle than with Bowden's Mate), and the mint flavor also seems to be a bit "creamier". I actually slightly prefer it to Bowden's Mate, and it is a lot cheaper, but the fact that my local vape shop stocks Five Pawns juices makes Bowden's Mate a bit easier and quicker for me to obtain.

I really liked Sweet-Vapes.com's Think Mint. It doesn't have the vanilla, but it is a really nice chocolate mint. You can also specify more flavor/cold shots if you like with them.

I have just attempted my version of Five Pawns Bowden's Mate. I mixed her up and stuck her in the fridge. I am going to wait a couple of weeks to let it properly mix and blend. I found that if I mix something, try it immediately and like it, I love it after it has sat in the fridge to slowly mix a couple of weeks. I will let you know how it turns out. I'm so excited.
