I just thought that the V4L cartos were good on my 510 and 901 batteries. Now that I've tried them on a shorty they are even better. Not sure how that works but it really does. I just ordered the PT in purple so I don't have to move around as much to change batteries out until I get my pelvis fixed. It will just make things easier.

Question: are the XL batts better than the regular ones? How long does the charge last vs. the regular ones? Does the regular USB charger work on the XL? Will the XL batteries work on the PCC? I know you can't close it but will the PCC still charge them? I'm having surgery sometime in the next few weeks and I want to take as little ecig gear as possible since it's really hard to keep up with stuff on a morphine pump, lol I could see me calling the nurse in to plug my charger in,lol Thanks in advance!

Hey Jules - Since you're laid up :)() and are getting a passthrough I would definitely recommend the USB Battery Pack:

Amazon.com: Kensington Battery Pack and Charger for iPod; iPhone 1G, 3G: Electronics

I have one and it lasts around 3 full days and I vape like a fiend. That along with my V4L PT is vaping nirvana.

I've read many posts about how the VK is a TRUE 3.7 batt where others only come in around at the 3.1-3.2 but resident genius adrenalynn along with a few others could answer that for you much better than ;)

For me the XL last me about 5/6 hours. Yes they will charge on the usb charger and yes they will charge on the pcc...It just takes a lot longer and they will drain the pcc faster. Good luck with the surgery.

Thanks for that! I have a Kensington so I'll probably just use the USB charger on that.

Jules..to tell the truth I would get 2 xlongs and have hubby charge them up at home..that should give you 10 to 12 hours of vaping time. The pcc works fine if you need to charge one up until he gets there, In between you have your shorty and the 901's..will chage on the PCC.

If I was staying in a hospital here that would work. The one I go to is 3-4 hours away, depending on traffic and construction. I have a Kensington and USB adapters for everything I own,lol But I like the idea of the 5-6 hours without charging. How long are the XL's ?

Thanks Yanks. I actually have two of those, lol I have one I use for PTs and one to charge with. Hubby says I must have been a Boy Scout in another life the way I prepare for things, lol I have this insane fear of being caught without my ecig and having to smoke a real one. I know I would go back to them in an instant if I didnt have my ecigs.

Trish:

My friend watched me pack up my logic case for a little day up to the lake on Sat. :
"What exactly are you doing?"
"Just puttin' my vapes in my purse..."
"Becca, you packed 9 batts, 15 cartos, a power pack and a passthru, and a wall charger. And then you opened it up again and threw in 2 little bottles of juice."
"Oh. Well, something might, you know, happen..."

And I wouldn't even smoke.
I'd just miss them.

Jules mine are all manual! I don't want to worry about any juice leaking in the batt when I overfill!..I just get juice in my mouth..lol But I rarely die.:D

I'm going to get a couple of manuals to use on the cartos I refill. I only use the autos on the factory filled ones. I learned that lesson a long time ago with my 901. *shudders* Bad memories!
