Ok, so I've been reading this forum for the last few days, I'm trying to figure out this whole vaping thing becasue I really want to get off my regular cigarettes. I smoke a little over 1 pack a day, menthol 100's.

I"m ready to try it, but I'm so incredibly lost it's pathetic. I have no clue what to buy, where to buy, and what I need to get started. Do I buy a kit? Do I buy individual things? I'm clueless........please advise! 8-o

I know exactly how you feel, Lisa. I've been vaping for just over a month now and I too was extremely baffled in the beginning. My first e-cig was an NJOY NPRO which seemed ok when I first got it, but I have since bought a 510 (after much research on this forum) and I absolutely love it! I bought a starter kit with 2 manual batteries, 2 atomizers, a charger, and 5 cartridges (all included in the kit) from Cignot.com. The shipping was super fast and the price was very reasonable. The 510 is far superior to the NPRO I had originally bought.

Good luck to you and welcome to the wonderful world of vaping!

I'd recommend a 510 kit from either cignot.com or rocky mountain vapor. Make sure to get at least one extra battery, as many spare atomizers as you can afford, and at least 60ml of e-juice (that's a month supply for an average vaper). I'd also get a Personal Charging Case (PCC) because the battery life sucks, and a good amount of extra carts. Buy the flat tip carts if you can find them, they're much better.

Hi Lisa,

I'm new also... After lots of reading here and online in general, I decided to just jump in with a 510 kit. I figure, if that comes and I like it and its going well, I'll move forward / experiment with other models / types. I just ordered a kit last night, so I'm hoping to be able to give it a try by the weekend... a little antsy being used to menthol slim 100s myself... I also opted to just get the ECOpure liquid which I think has the VG and not the PG (someone correct me if I'm wrong... I am a noob after all!)
I also have two or three friends whose interest in e-cigs is piqued - I'm the voluntary guinea pig of our little group though... but I'm assuming if I'm not happy with the 510 I can pass it along and try something else. It seemed to be the most widely recommended though and I figure the only way to know is to give it a go :D

I would start by buying a Joye 510. Several suppliers sale this. You can go to the suppliers list and check some of them out. Along with the 510 kit I would buy several atomizers and batteries. Right now Totally Wicked has then on sale through today. These are the cheapest ones right now. They come in a 5 pack.I would get the manual batteries, they seem to last longer. You also need some eliquid. These come in several different strengths and numerous flavors. I have stuck with the tobacco flavors such as marlboro, camel, 555 and several more. I like it to taste as much like a regular cigarettes as I can get. You can get liquids from almost all suppliers but some are cheaper then other and some have a better quality. You can also get DIY up to 60mg. and mix it yourself. Look through the forum on ways to do this. I would suggest drip as compared to buying actual carts. The carts don't last long and you get a much better throat hit and more vapor with the drip method. You may want to consider getting something like a chuck or little chuck which produces much more vapor. You can get one that can be used with the 510 atomizer. There are several video showing you how to fill your own carts. This method is much cheaper.

Keep reading and learning as much as you can from this forum. I wish I had before buying. I started out with the Nipro and used prefilled cartridges. I also wasted a lot of money. I wish I had known about this forum before I started vaping.

don't panic..
any of the most talked about models are good 901,801,510
you most likely want to start with a kit.
on top of this forum is a link that says supporting suppliers that will let you see who sells
most of them have their own sub forum here as well.

I say just pick one to try out...once you get some use out of it and form your own opinion come back to the forum and start asking some questions :d you most likely will have plenty but this way you will have an ecig in your hand to use as an example

don't buy too many carts the part that the liquid is in because you can refill them
buy one bottle of juice that you think you would like the flavor... you will understand once you receive your kit.

don't buy anything that obligates you to buy more from that one particular supplier

"brand names" for ecigs not mean to much right now for you I think you want to know the model like stated above so you can find multiple suppliers just in case there is a discount somewhere else.

The 510 or the Vapor King, best e-cigs on market. You can also use the 901 whistle tips on the 510, makes more vapor, don't know why but does.:)

just take some deep breaths, lol... it's gonna be ok!
the big thing about vaping is to experiment and find out what works for you the best!, most have their own opinions and that's why their are soooo many of them out their!...
on that note, here is what i've found...

the 510 is one of the top recommended that i've seen... easier on the wallet, and a good starter... some great sites are cignot.com, aroma-ejuice.com, and rockymountainvapor.com , look at those and just kind of play around...
while your there pick up a bottle of juice, or some small bottles of juices (to sample) and get a feel of what you like....
finally, when you get it, or before you get it, read "a wonderful world of vaping" it's in the newb section and does a fantastic job of helping! (i think thats what it's called... just look around, you'll find it!)

good luck!

Im new also, I have the 510 and for the most part love it. I do find my atomizer getting hot and having to switch a lot (annoying) as well as having to top off frequently. I just ordered new attys and an extra battery (the pcc was out of stock) but shipping takes forever! Any tips for the 510 and a good fast supplier?? Thank you in advance for your replies. (p.s can anyone tell me how to put the smoke free banner on my page??) Thanks again, and have a great one !

Hey, Lisa... I don't really want to pinch hit for any particular site at the moment, but I ultimately ordered from Innovapor dot com... because they did have it in stock. There's a discount code on their facebook page that nets 10% off, which basically made it free shipping for me. But I can't really vouch for anything since I just placed the order last night. I did get a confirmation email rather quickly though :) ~ Ann

I'm going to go against the grain here and recommend a 401 Dragon from Truesmoker. I've put my 510 away since I got a Dragon. Same throat hit, same amount of Vapor but I think it has better flavor because it doesn't burn so hot and the best part is the batteries last 3x longer than the 510 batteries. Plus, they now have manual batteries even though the auto batteries were doing fine by me.
