Rite-on...1st pkg was 11--then I got 18--1st ejuice I got was a 24mg (75pg/25vg), as the nicotine level increased, my smoking decreased. I just ordered some more juice--with 36mg--Figure that will get me 'over the top'...I can worry about cutting down on the nic' later, right now; I happy to be able to Breathe...
Thanks for the advice, seems I'm on the rite track...

I've had my ego for about a month. I started with (and am still using) 24mg nicotine. I didn't push to switch - if I wanted to smoke, I smoked, if I wanted to vape, I vaped. For the first three weeks, that cut me down from 3+ packs a day to somewhere in the 1 to 1.5 range. After 3 weeks, I noticed one day that I'd smoked 18 cigs, and that quite a few of those were more from habit. Lighting up without thinking about it, usually with an immediate "Darn, I should have just vaped" thought following it.

When I first started, I didn't expect this to work. Nothing else has worked, so why would this? But it's working, and now I'm convinced I can stop smoking.

After I realized I was smoking 1/3rd of what I used to smoke, without even *trying* and that many of the cigs I was smoking were from habit more than from choice, I started pushing a little more. Yesterday, I had 3. (My best day so far.) I've had 3 today, but I expect a few more before I'm done. Over the past week, I've smoked about 3 packs. That's far better than my 3 packs a day I was doing before, and I doubt I'll smoke more than 10 a day again, worst case. Most of the time, less.

The majority of the time, I don't have cig cravings, so the vaporizer is working just fine at 24 mg. But I do still get cravings right after I eat. For the past week, my first cig every day is almost always right after lunch. Somehow, eating just ramps up the cravings.

I haven't done it yet, but my plan is to get some 32mg juice, put it in a separate tank (I'm using an ego T), and only use that right after I eat, when I get the strong cravings. My hope is that the higher nic level will help push down the cravings, while I'll still vape the 24 most of the time so that I don't raise my nicotine dependence any more than I have to.

After I make it as a non smoker for a month, then I'll start trying to gradually lower my nicotine levels, move to 18mg, etc. Even if I vape with 24mg the rest of my life, that's so much better than *smoking* the rest of my life, which is what I had expected before I bought my eGo.

Oh, and I've got a ton of cigs left. 15 packs, minus 3 cigs, to be exact. I was so used to smoking a few packs every day, and keeping extras around so I wouldn't run out in the middle of the night or something, that even after I was using the ego and I knew I was smoking less than usual, I still picked up a carton or two.

Now I'm thinking that before I smoke 15 packs, I'll be done with cigs for good. The idea that I may never buy cigs again is just amazing. :)

That's good to hear and it'll only get better in the future. Anyways, I agree. Don't worry about cutting down until your ready. I've been vaping for 4 months now and still haven't cut down yet. Since anything lower does nothing for me at all.
