kinda, it's weird it was familiar. I go to clear my throat and there is nothing to clear. Monday will be three weeks vaping for me. Today I've only have had one analog (I didn't smoke 39). No real cravings for a cigarette today but in a moment of major stress I had the one. I may or may not have one more analog before bed. My halo order gets here tomorrow. Yay! My wheeze was gone weeks ago. You know that wheeze you make when you're going to sleep that sounds like the Tardis landing? Also I can smell everything, which I'm not enjoying but I guess I'll get used to. Not everything smells nice.

Ya I know... I miss mtn biking up a hill and hacking up a lung, almost passing out and turning red from coughing. Good times.

On the other hand, dog poop is so much more fragrant now than it used to be a few short months ago. I apologize to our Big Tobacco Overlords for ever thinking this vaping thing would ever do me any good. /sarcasm

.... :vapor:

So, I am a slob. Thank goodness my wife is not. We have a good arrangement for this and over the years I have gotten better. Our house is very clean. The point though is about when she quit smoking. Her sense of smell came back. This lead to much wandering the house seeking aromas that I was not entirely certain were real. Her sniffer is vastly superior to mine and the array of things she found that I had left in the fridge alone was embarrassing. Then there was the cat boxes, I love cats, hate cat boxes. I fudge taking them out just a little, I could pull this off for days without complaint. It's a big house and the smell is confined, at least I thought it was. Now I'm defeated, the wafting aromas of my negligent cat box duties and trash emptying betray me to my loving but unforgiving wife's nose.

Not all smells are good but at least the bad ones warn you, Imagine what you might have eaten without your nose :) Besides, its a small price to pay for living longer.

It's entirely understandable to have an emotional attachment to smoking and what went with it, as they were part of your self-identity. However, try to keep in mind the cigarettes and tobacco companies feel no emotional attachment in return to you, and that for something to be better, it has to be different... which means change.

Change can be weird and scary, but we're here for you to vent while you figure it out. :) Be especially on the lookout for people with birds, cats or horses as their avatars as they're extra supportive (Watch out for the ones with werewolves, as they can get kinda handsy).

Also, don't stress if you have a stinkie now and again while you're transitioning, you'll get there at your own pace and everyone's is different.

I hear ya. It was weird when that happened to me, but I got used to it :)

Good on you for almost getting rid of cigarettes. A little more time and they'll all be gone.

Don't beat yourself up for having a smoke or two. It took me weeks to get clear of them too and if i could do it after 37 years of smoking, so can you!

<--- I know now that she farts. That's bad, but it's way better than smoking and not being able to smell it, LOL.

Hang in there jcolom, you're on the right path :thumb:

Believe it or not I was able to jog and do high impact aerobics and smoke. Never bothered me. I would come back from and run and light up. Not that I'm encouraging that sort of behavior.
