I miss all the chatter about waffles LOL. The begging to get some more, the anticipation of when it would be going up on the site, the waiting for it to be delivered. It was fun.

You know what this reminds me of? When you have a large family dinner like Thanksgiving and everyone is sitting around the table chatting and the noise level is really high, then the food is served and everyone shuts up and starts stuffing their faces. You can hear a pin drop in the room.

Finally got mine ordered tonight! Had to make sure the kiddo was lined out for school, and tonight Momma got to order some replenishment stock. Looking forward to some (plain) waffle goodness, and trying out the new Granny Smith apple. Might have to play with those two together as well!

the granny smith is good! im vaping it right now. :)

More waffle banter:

National Waffle Day (August 24) is the anniversary of the first U.S. patent for a waffle iron. Cornelius Swarthout of Troy, New York received his patent for a “device to bake waffles” in 1869. His early waffle iron was used in conjunction with coal stoves, consisted of a griddle and a cover and required flipping of the device to cook both sides of the waffle.
