Ok so I started vaping with my Kr808 about a month ago and while it is ok I now am looking at something else.

I only use cartos as a personal preference.
TH with the above is sometimes a little too much, but I do know that I need a higher nic level, I am currently using 16mg as I have not been able to completely let go of the analogs. I would order higher nic level from where I got my original e-cig because they have great customer service, but they do not offer it...
So after much research I have narrowed it down to two. I would really like opinions on both suppliers and pros and cons. I respect everyones opinions.

1).THE ULTIMATE ULTIMATUM VAPOR KING KIT WITH PORTABLE CHARGING CASE - $99.99
2 Automatic batteries
1 USB Passthrough
1 Portable Charging Case
1 Carrying Case-Your choice of Color
1 VK USB Charger
1 VK Wall Charger
1 VK Car Adapter
1 BOX OF 5 VK CARTOMIZERS- Choose one Flavor/Strength

2). Volcano-V kit deluxe The Deluxe kit includes: $69.99
(1) Gift Box
(2) V-batteries
(1) V-Pack
(1) Atomizer
(1) Wall Charger
(1) USB Charger
(25) Cartridges in the strength and flavor of your choosing!

Both of those are great kits, but before you shell out more money on new kits have you tried ordering juice from another vendor and refilling your own cartos? There are many vendors who sell juice with a higher nic level, multiple choices for PG/VG mixes and at reasonable prices. You've already got a KR808, which I believe is what the Vapor King kit is.

You would save a lot of money refilling your own carts and you'd be able to get 18mg and 24mg juices from other vendors.

I have not tried to refill, partly because of the auto battery I am afraid that it will fry my batt... Also I really don't want to mess with the liquids.. I know that it probably would save me money, but I am just not there yet.
Maybe I need to look at other kits then... I am really frustrated because I want to quit smoking, but because of battery life and nic strength I haven't been able to... Thanks WomanofHeart for your insight.

Getting different prefilled cartos, in different nic and VG / PG ratios or different juices, in different nic and VG / PG ratios would most likely have more effect on your TH than a different battery. The voltage from the battery, (different kit) makes the most difference when you go up to 5 or 6V. Also make sure the cartos you are using are NOT LR (low resistance) as they are made to increase warmth and TH.

Hi Stepiba,

I think you are saying you are looking for a few things:

1) Longer batter life,
2) Keep the ease of use (i.e. using cartomizers)
3) Keep the general feel of a cigarette (the KR808 type)

I like your choices above, but would suggest the following:

1) Get a kit with a pass through (PT) - but get one with manual batteries. For V4L I would recommend the XL manual. They are longer and heavier, but they will last much longer than your current ones AND with manual you will get rid of the obstacle in refilling future cartridges.

Perhaps this one from V4L:

Vapor4Life- Electronic Cigarette: Vapor King Ultimate XL Starter Kit

(also, the coupon code for V4L is "smilin" for 10% off).

2) Buy some cartomizers with higher nic levels... but be prepared that the TH in prefilled is likely going to be even a little more harsh than now.

The future key is going to be refilling some of your own cartos. I use a VERY simple method and can refill 10 in 5 minutes or less with no mess and one paper towel (be happy to share it with you, just PM me). Once you feel comfy re-filling your own, you can get liquid at higher nic levels, but with a 70/30 or 50/50 VG mix that will smooth that TH out, create a lot more vapor, give you many more choices as to flavors (and save you some $$).

I'll be happy to help ya if I can!

I think that the problem you're going to run into by just buying another kit is that the prefilled cartos are still going to be PG based, which is why the throat hit is so harsh. I think that increasing the nicotine level will help you kick the cigarettes, but it's also going to increase the throat hit when combined with PG based liquids. Honestly, I don't think buying another kit is going to be the answer. I understand that you aren't ready for refilling yet, but I think it really is your best option. Even prefilled cartos can leak and with automatic batteries it is a legitimate concern, but it shouldn't be a big one.

Maybe it would be better for you to buy a couple of manual KR808 batteries, which would be cheaper, some juice and some blank cartos instead.

Made the same type of purchase to begin with, and finally discovered V4L. I currently have 3 auto batteries, one manual, and I'm using 36mg and 24mg cartomizers from them. I have recently tried their VG cowboy in 18mg just to see how I like them, and the flavor is good, but there's really no TH.

My personal opinion:
Since you already have a battery, I wouldn't quite order the kit yet. Try a sample pack of something in 24mg, which should be around $10, and an extra long battery (I'd recommend manual) for about $18.

I have not tried the volcano-style e-cig, because I'm a little skiddish due to it being a 3-piece unit (atomizer is a separate piece). However, it will allow you to try dripping/refilling, and you have a wider choice of PV/VG mixes to get your TH and flavor exactly how you want it. With the 808, it's simply plug and play, but you are limited to mainly PV mixes.

Hi stepiba,
I think that WomanOf Heart is right about filling your own. :) I see by your aviator that there is a husband/boyfriend with you. Maybe he would be willing to help with filling the cartos. :?: Before all you women start yelling about what I said about the man doing it, :confused:I only say that because its another person that might not mind messing with the liquid, not just because he's a man.:2cool::vapor:

i like what visinedrops said. if you already have an 808d1 batt, then maybe try the V4L cartos and see what you think. the company and the service? awesome. i dont know about volcano, but my 2 orders from V4L really sold me, they went the extra mile.

the vanilla VG wow gives lots of vapor w a smooth TH imo...i also have to rec the plain menthol coolcarts, they are PG but very smooth going down imo...and if you order from V4L you must try the pancake and/or waffle...i am so in love w the pancake!

that expensive V4L kit might be too much if you already have a charger for 808d1's...and my regular batts last long enough to where i am not thinking about a pcc, or xtra longs, at least not yet. 2 regs are lasting me all day.

they have manual batts on clearance right now, so i picked up a few of those b/c everybody keeps saying to, in case i do ever want to refill.

V4L has 20% off sales sometimes, they just had one...if i were you, i would get a cheaper kit (IF you go with the V4L, as i said i dont know jack about the volcano, it could be heaven for all i know) and wait for a sale if you MUST get a kit...otherwise just get some flavors to try w the batt you have now...get that vanilla pg....

Or just do yourself a HUGE favor and buy the last mod you ever will.

ProVape Electronic Cigarette Battery Mods, Atomizers and E-Cigarette Accessories

Sit and wait a month, and be done with it. Seems we all stock up on tons of other PVs and they sit on the desk and gather dust. Nothing on the market touches what that provari will do, nothing.

I hate to say it, but if she isn't ready to fill her own cartos then she probably isn't ready for a VV mod. Especially one that's going to cost over $200 to get started.

No offense, stepiba. Sometimes you just have to take vaping one step at a time that's comfortable for you.

Seems you need to do a little more research. That's all I'm going to say.

As for the OP I would reiterate everything that mudflap has pointed you towards. I wish you all the best :) nothings better than finally being free of those death sticks.

I agree that another kit of your suggested models, probably is not going to change that much of your vaping experience.

Filling cartomizers with juice is not that complicated, IF you get the easy cartos to fill and not the cartos that you have to remove this piece that piece and use needle and syringe to fill.....Boge soft tip cartos are soooooooooooo easy to use and fill. They were suggested in another answer as well.
As well as others have stated, I believe that you are not in the nic range
that you NEED to be, to make the final break with the analogs.

Now other train of thought, would be a bottom fed juicer. Simple and easy to use as well. You may not be there yet, but
it is absolute ease of use, so perhaps consider that for the future.

Good luck and hope all works out for you.

I switched to cartos a few months back, and I love 'em. Get the soft tip ones, and they're easy-peasy to refill yourself. Ive have a delrin drip-tip for mine; I don't actually use it for dripping, it just has an 'ergonomic' feel when I put it in my mouth, and it makes topping off the carto even easier. Stock, you can just replace the rubber mouthpiece.

As others have said, bump up your nic. And learn how to refill your own cartos; it's a useful skill, and it won't hurt to know it.

Wow, I left for a few hours and now I have sooo much info.. Thanks to everyone for their opinions and I think that I probably am now truly geared on getting a
manual battery
a usb passthrough
maybe catromizers and/or blanks..

I really appreciate all of your ideas and will definatly look some more before making the ultimate decision. Thanks.

I think you'll find filling your own cartomizers easier than you think. Vaping can be so overwhelming with so much to learn and so many choices. It's hard to know what to do and where to begin. I can assure you that it does get easier and before you know it you'll be a pro! There are plenty of good tutorial videos and I could post links if you'd like. Just let me know.

I think you'll really love manual batteries, too. You have way more control over how you vape, you won't need to take any primer puffs and you won't need to worry about juice ruining your battery. It will also open up more ways to vape besides using cartos if you want.

You can also stick a standard 901 atty+carts right on KR8 batteries (no adapter needed). I love that combo. 901 atty is a bit airy but easy dragging and tasty. And with an adapter you could stick a 510 atty and carts on KR8 batteries as well. Either makes it longer by the length of the cart since their attys are the same size as a KR8 cartomizer.

I adore the 901 atty on my KR8 batteries. Very relaxing. Even if you buy another PV, I recommend trying a standard (not LR) DSE901 atty and carts (my carts are whistle-tip) on your KR8 with some nice ejuice and set it up as a dessert PV in the evenings. I set up two PVs - one with tobacco ejuice and one dessert one with various non-tobacco ejuices (vanilla, caramel, fruit flavors, creamy desserts etc). A nice easy vape (though I do have manual batteries which means I have to expend a bit less effort to vape already).

I got my DSE901 atty (not LR) and carts at LiteCigUSA.net

I have only been vaping for 4 weeks and decided after the cheap 7-eleven model, then the over priced GreenSmoke and the week as can be NLA from the tocacco shop that I needed to do more research. I became a member of ECF and was overwhelmed by all the info. Long story short (if it's not to late haha) I ordered the Provape-1. It came in 3 days and I have not put it down since. I purchased it with 510 LR blank carts, AW batteries(which are lasting 20-24 hrs each with moderate vaping all day) and 3 flavors of E-juice. The best one has to be "apple cheesecake". If the money is a big issue, consider that if you give up the analogs, which I did on day 2, you will save minimum $150.00 A MONTH plus lighters and maybe even health care costs. Just my thoughts.

Welcome to the ECF and Happy Vaping!!
