I need a rugged clearo

I'm looking for a clearo that I can use all day while at work. I work outdoors and deal with a lot of animals all day, so I need something that can put up with some moderate abuse and won't leak or break, or fall apart in my pocket. Preferably one made of pyrex if possible. I prefer the flavor of clearos, so I'd rather not get the oversized carts unless it's necessary. And the CE3's are already out. I'm just too lazy to deal with syringe filling. If it has to be filled 2 or 3 times a day, that is acceptable as long as I can just up it up and drip my juice in.

I'm going to be buying a 1300 X2 come Friday, so I'm looking for the best option now.

Is there anything?

I may be able to help you. But first a few questions: Are you new to vaping? Do you know approximately how much juice you consume in a day? Do you mind removing the juice delivery device from the battery to refill? A 1300 combined with any kind of delivery device is going to be a long rig to say the least. Too long for a shirt pocket and precarious in a jeans pocket. By that I mean it would be vulnerable to being snapped in two if you "forget" it's shoved in your jeans pocket. Have you considered a shorter battery like the 650 for on-the-go and save your 1300 for at-home?

I've been vaping seriously for about a month, though I've been doing it off and on for the last year. Currently I vape about 1-2mils a day, but that's on amuch smaller battery with a .5 mil clearo. I already remove my clearo about 3 times a day to refill, so I wouldn't be upset at having to do so. My device isn't often in my pocket, but with my current one it has twice leaked juice all over my leg. My current battery needs to be re-charged 3 times a day (280 mah) and due to pricing and incompatibility issues I'm switching over to the Volt. Since I have to buy all new hardware, I'm only going to be purchasing what I need to get me through until my next paycheck, and it's more cost effective to buy 1 1300 now than 2 650's. I'd rather not have a bunch of different devices, so in the future I'd simply buy an additional battery or two for backups and then just worry about juice and carts for the next year.

I'm less concerned about pocket-ability and more concerned about it being dropped and shattering while I'm out in the field at work. I've been eyeing the nano and it seems like it would work with a cone, but I've read a number of issues of it leaking. If that's the case then I'd probably just go with the XL blank carts.

Cartridges are probably the most durable item, I am thinking. Certainly easy to fill, put in a pocket, basically never leak. You can take several with you for the day and they do fit on the larger X2 batteries, as well as the cig a like batteries.

+1 on the SI Carts. They should meet all of your criteria. When the SI T3 is unveiled, you may want to take a serious look at those. Easy fill, bottom coil, no leakers and 3ml capacity.

I was thinking of trying a CE4 or 5. Even though they're not from SI, they should be compatible due to the eGo threads on the X2. But I haven't heard much of their durability.

The X2 has 808 threads. The eGo's use a 510 thread.

One could use a 808-to-510 adaptor to put 510/eGo attachments on an X2 battery.

One option would be the Echo Cartomizer. This is an 808 threaded single coil carto that holds 3ml of liquid, available in black, stainless steel, or chrome. Horizontal coil like the Volt blank cartos are.

A second option would be to use a cartotank. The below tank will accept an XL Volt cartomizer. You would need to punch your own Volt XL cartomizers (the stainless ones, not the black ones) with a carto punch tool, fill it like any other cartomizer, and insert it into the tank. Watch the video on how to do both below. The 3.5ml size tank would be the appropriate size tank for the X2 battery.

A Vision Mini Vivi Nova works well, easy to fill (2.5 mls), and is rugged but you will need an 808 to 510 connector.

Some devices with eGo threads fit on X2 batts and some don't. If you're buying new equipment, you're better off with things that are designed to fit together.

Someone will be along to confirm, but I'm quite certain all the Smokeless Image gear is 808-threaded.

It's possible people are using a 808-to-510 adaptor to put the T2's on their X2's. And there may be vendors selling T2's that have the 808 thread already built in.

Honestly, the Innokin Tidy 12 looks perfect for my needs, but I can't find any sellers in the States and shipping from China, not to mention needing to order 50 units at once, would break my budget.

I just saw that you were interested in something made of pyrex. I am not aware of any clearos made with pyrex. But there are small, slim cartomizer tanks that will fit a Volt cartomizer, like the Smoktech one I linked to in the earlier post.

IBTanked is a great choice in custom made tanks. https://www.ibtanked.com/ You can order these in a standard size, which will accept a standard size cartomizer (35mm length) such as the short Volt cartos. Or, if you prefer a larger tank, you can order the longer XL version tank which will accept the XL Volt cartos (45mm).

The slimmer 19mm tanks would be best for an X2. End caps can be your choice of stainless steel or acrylic. The standard tank holds 1.5ml and the longer tank holds 2ml. Prices start at less than $20. You will need a drip tip mouth piece to put on the top of the cartomizer in the tank, which are available on the website.

I have five of the 19mm slim XL tanks that I use on my Provari, and just ordered two more yesterday. They are extremely sturdy and do not leak. They have survived several drops without incidence, however they are glass so care should by taken if possible. I have placed them on my mods in my pocket with no problem.

I missed your earlier edit. Thanks for that. The Echo isn't exactly what I'm looking for, but I may grab one anyway. 3 mils is impressive.

I think the tank mods will have to wait a bit, although they do look intriguing. The company I used to buy from has glass clearos for the mid-sized battery, but they only hold half a mil and leak like a sieve. i was really hoping more companies would have something similar, only larger.

Oh well.

The X2 clearomizer would work. They can break if you put too much stress or bend them too hard like in your pocket wrong. But overall, they are probably the most durable I know of, and won't leak or flood the atty like many other styles, especially when held upside down for periods (like my Vivi Nova's do).

Oh crap, the Tidy's are syringe fill? Never mind then. Syringe filling just isn't something I want to get into given my current job.

Honestly, I want something like this: Sigma Smart Tank. I've been using it for a while, and other than the fact that the atomizer floods with every fill they work great. I've dropped it several times and it has no problems. But their products have deeper threads than a standard 808, which I found out recently when experimenting with a SI carto.

The Kanger M3's look to be closest to this design, so I'll be trying them out when I order my Volt on Friday.

I'm also going to be grabbing a pack of blank XL carts, a Nano and an X2 Clearomizer to try out.

I don't know if they are syringe fill, but I've just read many bad reviews and the only way they didn't leak was to syringe fill like the ce3's. Give the x2 clearos a try, seriously.

I have some of these...the flavor is great and they don't leak at all, but they are definitely not rugged. The tops easily come off in your pocket, and they don't feel all that sturdy. But for at home use they're great.
