My understanding is that Rob decimated the supply of AW IMR 14500's with his last release of mini's (j/k).
Seems like all the regular suppliers are out of stock, although supposedly, they'll be back in stock in a few weeks. Meantime, I'm given to understand you can use the protected xxxxfire 14500's while you're waiting, although you won't get the performance the AW's give.
Glad I use mostly 18650s, LOL...hate it when I cant find the batteries in stock, been looking for some 26500s and most everywhere I check is out of stock.
Everyone, including the supplier, is currently out of the AW IMR 14500's for a couple of weeks. You can get a couple of black labels to tide you over until they get in, or post a WTB in the classys.
Edit: I just noticed you asked about IMR Li-ions. I believe IMR (I don't even know what that acronym means, tbh) refers specifically to LiMN batteries which are a safer chemistry compared to Li-ions, and therefore don't require protective circuit boards (PCB's).
Unprotected Li-ion are out of the question for use in PV applications.
Trying to hunt some of these down myself. Someone plz post if you come up with some. Surely there is some basement e-store out there we have never heard of that has 10 in stock?
Remember buddy if you can't find any I send you a regular AW 14500 for you to keep. Better to have a battery then sitting there with your mini and no bats.
