I have a CCTS now, and it's a piece of junk. I'm trying to decide between a few options for my next mod, and the best ones I've seen so far for my price point (~$60 or less) are the Moneypenny (and JBQ - anyone know if the JBQ is strictly superior to the MP or if both hold merit?) and the Magneto. Any other ideas/thoughts? Recommendations?

TIA

I am not comfortable with buying what I consider a counterfeit...I draw the line when the exact form and branding are imitated. Thanks for the suggestions though!

An interesting Greek top button mech for under $70 (yes, you read that right - an original Greek mech that doesn't cost $250) is the Sirius SS II. With spare parts kit, shipped... $77, if you use the 15% discount code "Sirius". :)

That's an amazing deal! Wow. Handmade Greek SS mod for under $100, and it's a top button at that. That's a steal...but how did you get it down to $77? With 18650 body tube, switch assembly, and spare parts kit it comes to $87 pre shipping for me.

Not a counterfeit. Different metals, totally different branding.

That Greek piece is really nice, great price too.

Oh my mistake, I thought it was identical branding &etc...did I read that the pins are silver? Just plated brass I assume, but still! I like the look of it, might pick that one up. How's the threading and switch?

Where do you get that switch upgrade?

Special MOD :: Bagua :: Bagua Switch for Magnet -

out of stock, should be back soon tho. The Real titanium bagua uses a spring switch. Only the 14500 is magnetic.

is that Sirius 22mm? If so I know what I'm getting for Christmas!

Edit: just looked it up, it's 21mm. Still...

I've sanded the negative and positive pins, and they ate both still silver under the sanding. Threading is good up to an 18500, though its a bit wobbly in 18650 mode. I did have to sand about 2/10's of an inch off off the bottom insulator on the switch, that was only because the adjustable button would come loose. The Pisces has the same problem...

So it's wobbly in 650 mode? Damn. Still...between how it looks, the price, and the silver pins (by the way, silver pins are objectively better than copper pins - even when tarnished silver is the most conductive metal) I think I'll pull the trigger.
