So I've decided to take the next step and get an authentic high end mod, i'm 99 percent sure that I'm going to pre-order the copper akuma mod. I really want to get a high end rda to go along with it, right now i'm really having trouble because of all the different options out there! I've narrowed it down to 3 rda's that i think would pair nicely with the akuma. The copper quasar, the copper mephisto, or the copper APO.

Right now i'm using a stainless steal magneto and an omega rda and i've really enjoyed getting into rebuilding and i really love my magneto but i just can't help myself, i wanna take the next step lol.

So please let me know what you think!

thanks

Well I can say that the Quasar is an AWESOME RDA for flavor and vapor production....I have yet to take delivery of my APO so I can't speak to that one, but I'm excited to try it!! I don't have any exp. with the Mephisto...

If you're not stuck on copper, you may want to check out the Veritas.....I have experience with a bunch of different RDA's, and my favorite right now is the Veritas....It's different to build on (not necessarily harder, just different), but the flavor is head an shoulders above a lot of other RDA's I've used to date...

But if you end up with the Quasar, that's a REALLY good choice!!

I got my second one this week. Might order a third. Was really a game changer for me and RDAs

I ordered a v2 clone yesterday and it'll be my 2nd dripper. After I got and messed around with my IgoW I just didn't care for them. But the Magma is a step beyond the conventional dripper IMO.

I have two Magma's and they really are game changers but I see them as more than an RDA for because of the deep wells on the deck. You are making a bigger comitment to juice when you use one.

That being said, my favorite juices go in those bad boys and the vapor and flavor are by far the best. I put my Origen in the same category.

KurrptSenate, thanks for the info on the quasar. Can you use it single coil and shut off the airflow to just one side? With the exception of my Origen and Magma I like drippers that can run both single and duel coil.

I don't recommend going up to "40 drops" or whatever they say it can hold. I do about 20 and have no issues. The leaking tends to come from dripping too much liquid directly on the coils, as the air is located directly under them.

The quasar can be ran in single, or dual coil mode, unlike the stillare.

my stillare that came yesterday (FT) is super wobbly. The o ring that holds the chamber to the deck leaves a lot to be desired. Fully open, this thing can really chuck clouds.

Lol I wish we could trade o rings. I should probably do the same thing.

Can you try to test fit at the store?

Glad you asked :)

I went to Lowes on the way home and had the Stillare with me, I played until I found one that was pretty good. A #7 which is 1/2" OD x 3/8" ID x 1/16" works pretty damn good. The bottom is nice and tight but not as bad as before and the top is just right. They are a little bit of a pain to get on but once on they are a good fit. They come in a 10 pack, I would drive some over but PA is a bit of a haul.

If you haven't already picked one up...

Out of those 3 I'd definitely go with the Mephisto, that is if you can get your hands on one as they are pretty much atm only available on pre-order.

I have both a Quasar and Mephisto. The Quasar looks sweet, no doubt about it and its a solid performer as well but the Mephisto blows it out of the water.

I haven't tried the APO but from what I've heard the Mephisto may have been based off it with a few improvements. The Mephisto is currently my favorite RDA to date.
