sorry, tried to post this in vaping hardware and it won't let me.

This just started happening w/one of my AIOs:

Once I place an atomizer on the mouthpiece part, I can't get a vape. It is the opposite of airy, like it's clogged with something.

So, I tried a new coil. Same deal.

I took the mouthpiece section off, soaked in water, it is fine. Blow thru it fine, plenty of air.

Put a coil on it.........and again.......no air.

It looks like there is some sort of o rings on the bottom of the mouthpiece where you screw on the AIO coil......but that appears to be intact.

I can't for the life of me figure out what this is. I even moved the air control ring around in a few different places.

At first I thought maybe I got an entire box of bad coils. But I put the same coil on my OTHER AIO and it works fine.

So, it's something in the mouthpiece area where the coil attaches right? Maybe somebody really intimate with a joyetech AIO can help me here? it's somewhat new to me..

yeah, its $18 bucks but that is a lot of money to me when I've only used it for a month or so and I really want to figure out how to fix this. !!

Otherwise, I guess i just have an "extra" AIO battery with tank that I can keep charged and swap out........but I have no use for that!

Thanks, jj.........no, it's not that. Tried that.

I can't quite figure out what happened.

It is mystifying. So "we" have to figure this out because it is making me nutty (-er).

Maybe something got bent in the chimney when I was pressing down to activate the "leakproof" "childproof" feature?

Hey, Racehorse.

I'm just taking out loud here. Looking thru the mouthpiece part from the bottom shows an inner tube and an outer tube. the inner is for the vapor coming up. the outer is for the airflow going down. If you can see thru the inner tube, then seems to me that something is blocking the outer portion. I think the airflow comes in under that airflow control ring (that you can turn). Maybe try to block the center tube (just put your finger over the top) and blow thru (from the bottom). It will be tight because the airflow thru the outer tube is not nearly as loose as thru the inner. That might blow out any obstruction or at least confirm that it is blocked.

That thing is called the vent pipe, and I know it is removable on the regular cubis tank, but I've never tried to take it off.

Thanks. That was fun doing mainly because troubleshooting you always learn something.

Problem is w/outer tube for sure. Something in the chimney ring mechanism. I suspected a little bit of a defective chimney from the start, since a few times I had to dissemble the unit, unscrew the coil, and put back together because it wasn't firing.
Then, the blockage thing started happening.

Thankfully, I purchased on Ebay......totally genuine product.....seller has no problem taking back and sending me a new unit. Understands that sometimes out of millions produced, sometimes you get a bum unit. :)

(I was forced over to Ebay since my regular vendor sent me one that was missing a mouthpiece, and I got the "we'll include it with your next order" BS, to which my reply was "What if I didn't pay you and deferred payment until my *next order*? .. for the price of $2.30 in postage you just lost a customer...." )
