I started about 4 weeks ago. I took in out of the box put pre-filled cart on and went to town. Was happy for almost 2 weeks. Had quit 2 pack a day analogs all was well. Then trouble struck. It started tasted really back and smelled just as bad as it tasted. I can't even discribe how awful it be came.
I have read this forum till my eyes crossed. So figured the atty was toast so trashed it and put new one on first I blew the prime out put two drop on bridge and filled a empty cart. First draw smell tasted the same. I went through all six I had. So ordered 2 more got them today same damn thing. What is going on. I learned the taste of primer with my first one and it is nothing like that. I did the same thing blew out primer put two drops on bridge and filled new cart let set and took two really slow short puffs and taste and smell the same just not as strong yet. But still stinks and taste like crap.

Is it that burnt, metallic taste? I get that from time to time on the 510. Changing the atomizer doesn't seem to help. My advice? Drink plenty of water, gargle with some mouthwash, and seriously, brush your tongue. This is what helps get rid of it for me. I think my tastebuds just get enough of the 510 vapor for a while and need to recharge (that's my non-medical, non-scientific answer). I don't get this on my M401 though, so when the bad taste on the 510 rears up, I give it a rest and switch to the M401.

Keeping the atty wet and well primed really helps prevent this too.

MAke sure your cart filling isnt too far down, it should be flush with the cart edge, the bridge makes a 'dimple' to sit in and get juice to the wick. If it doesn't they get too dry and taste yuk.
Another thing that can happen is the wick gets gummed up and you tatse the burnt on juice but if you are using fresh attys this is unlikely in your case.
You might also want to try/read : http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/tips-tricks/69834-my-atty-resurrection-method.html and http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...ps-avoid-harsh-burnt-taste-510-atomizers.html
(for those attys you might otherwise throw away)

I have tried all the cleaning methods except sonic. I have tried most of the mods. The two new ones I got today. I blew them out put 2 drops on atty and filled cart and took short slow 2 puffs. Then set aside with cart up for 5 minutes check cart it was still full. Not much vapor but they where short puff so not to over heat. I have been working on this for a week and half. One of the attys I took everything out but the coil then went through several differant cleanings, and did dri burns until the pt reached cut off I don't even know how many times. The burnt taste or what ever it is is still there. I just don't understand.

Have you tried direct dripping? I pretty much gave up on carts (although I remain optimistic that one day I'll find a cart filling that wicks as fast as I vape) and just direct drip and I've not had the taste issues. I wonder if its the cart material giving you issues?
Of course if you already direct drip my advice is useless :)

I'm with CaptJay and Jace on this one. You've cleaned atty's and tried new ones, so the problem isn't there. So, it's either the battery (if auto; and clean the threads too either way) or the carts...are the cart and filler all clean and smellin' fresh? Like CaptJay said, if you already drip this won't help, but if not, try it, and it'll help isolate the issue.

I get this every so often. When it happens, I take the filler out and clean it, dry really good with paper towel, put it back and refill it. The filler seems to get dry/hard and not hold the liquid even when it looks like you are fillin it to the top. I may have missed it if you said you cleaned the filler and if so, my apologies.

I am using manual batt at pt. I have never dripped don't know how. I did try the second atty just now and guess it is to wet it is gurgling, but same taste. I have been without pv long enough now that it is my taste. I can still smell it in my room and it stinks. I don't understand I wasn't having any issues until the first atty went south. Now nothing but hell.
I had to go get me some analogs and I thought I was through with them. Man I am .......
