Are the inner contacts of the top of the battery tube and the end cap touching the battery good? Sounds like its dead, because if the voltage is showing up, then its getting contact from the battery! Is the battery good? Sounds like a battery died IMO! What charger do you have? Is it definitely charging the battery in the charger?

Just bought one myself and had that problem after the second week. I think your tank is threaded on too tight. I read in a forum somewhere here that there is some type of pin that is getting pushed up too far.
I would put in the battery and see that there was power and then it wouldn't turn on. Also had a problem with the first couple 18650 batteries I bought. Got them on Amazon - Trustfire's - which some people recommend. Think it was the batteries. I am using EFest and they are holding up great. Almost all day and I vape a lot.

Check the connections in your tank. Clean out the area where you screw down the tank and don't tighten it too much. Just til it makes contact. Hope that helps :)

I have had a problem with my SVD where the first draw on it was okay, but if you immediately inhaled again, you basically got nothing out of it. So vape cloud was really poor, and it seemed like it was turning off but it really wasn't, but you thought it was due to it's lack of performace. WELL, I have great news. After fighting with it since December, I just inserted a new battery which made the difference. I was using a AW IC protected Built in Li-ion Rechargeable 3.7 V 18500 battery, with a 1500mah. (which is what they sold me when I bought the device). But I was surfing and saw a few people's posts that suggested using a IMR 18650 3.7 V 20000mah (7.4 WH) battery, which I purchased from Provape. I can tell you that the SVD is now behaving as I expected - it's fantastic. I do hope this helps anyone that's out there having similar problems.
:)
