im 20 and Ive been smoking for about a year and a half but as my name suggest i have rather serious asthma and if i dont find a replacement quickly these things will probably kill me within 5 years... i harbor no illusions, im hopelessly addicted to nicotine and there's little to no hope of me ever shaking the horrible stuff. I need a tar-less substitute and the carcinogens need to be cut to a minimum. I'm in a serious bind here and if i cant find what i need ill be dead before i ever see my son go to kindergarden. If anyone has any idea or can point me in the right direction i would be very grateful
please, i really need help here

Asthmatic as a year and a half smoker...you really have no physical addiction, you have a psychological attachment. You have 18 and 1/2 years of coping mechanisms that are free from using tobacco, use them. You should know better than to smoke anything when you are a chronic asthmatic. Forget the e-cig, put down the smokes, use nicotine gum or snus if you must have nicotine. If you fear death don't go out dancing with the devil.:D

Hi
I am 51 with occasional asthma.
Please think clearly about your choices.
No one here can tell you how your body will react to vaping.
While many people with asthma talk about improvement in their health - there is absolutely no guarantee or proof.

It is my personal understanding that the PG in the liquid could help dry your lungs - but each of our bodies and respiratory systems are unique. Maybe dry is not what you need - we are not doctors, just well-meaning 'friends'.

I have an odd suggestion for you. Please be open minded.
Or even PM me for more information.
I discovered that even since starting vaping there is a specific emotional trigger which makes me absolutely have to CHOOSE to smoke a cigarette. I say choose because vaping takes care of the 'addiction' to nicotine.
Spend some time 'with yourself'. Meditate, think, feel, journal, whatever it takes to find the FEELING that creates your desire to smoke.

As another forum member said - you have 18.5 yrs w/out smoke. Please consider that you just might be able to experiment with a non respiratory delivery of nicotine. They even have flavored lozenges...

The great thing about life is we get to make choices. We learn, grow and have situations and experiences that teach us what works and what doesn't... that are ours and ours alone.

Each of those choices has an outcome - not bad/not good - just an experience.
I am a loud supporter of vaping - for many. AND at the same time trust that individuals will find the information they need to make the choices that serve them best.... whatever that means to them.

Taking off my 'energy healer's' hat now-
