i am currently making my own ejuice not only to save money but i know exactly how it tastes and i can fine tune it, it is also alot of fun.

i am using a 18mg vg based solution with non pg flavoring. i cant vape pg because it dries my throat out to bad and i get hives from it. is there anything i can add to my juice to increase the throat hit without adding pg or increasing the nicotine?

i seen mtbakervaper has capsicum extract but that doesnt sound to healthy to inhale. i have eaten a trinidad scorpion pepper and a ghost chilly. the last thing i want to do is smoke one.

thanks in advance!!!!

Speaking strictly about mixes and not hardware issues I've never felt the need to do it but doesn't PGA increase TH? Like 1 drop per 5ml or something?

I've seen one vendor sell an additive called something like "Flash Throat Hit Enhancer" but have never felt the need to try that either.

Of course, the other way is to increase PG and or nicotine but it sounds like you don't want to do that.

Good luck,

Norman

I add 5% PGA to almost all my mixes, and don't realize much increase in throat hit. I mostly do it because it is wintertime and 100% VG turns to honey outdoors right now. 5% is well above the 1-2 drops per 5ml recommendation for TH. Maybe I don't notice much because of the "less is more" phenomenon. But yeah, I'd say PGA for TH is not likely a good way to go.

Good advice so far. For tobacco flavors, add 1 drop per 5ml of apple cider vinegar. For fruit flavors, add 1 drop per 5ml of lemon juice. These may not necessarily add TH, but they will give the flavors a little more oomph.

Menthol will also add to TH perception.

That's right; I forgot about Menthol.

If you really can't stand Menthol, there is a flavor called Kalooda, which will provide a sort of "cool" TH without the "menthol" taste but I've never tried it and from Hoosier's blog:

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...diy-mixing-staples-misc-blending-flavors.html

he states:

"TPA/TFA's Koolada - This gives the feeling that mint and menthol give without the taste. (If you HATE menthol, avoid it as your brain will not be able to tell the difference between the feeling and the taste.)"

So I guess it would depend on just how much it tricks your brain into thinking you are not tasting "menthol."

Also, you could vape some "Atomic Fireball" flavor for a good TH! (just kidding...)

Good luck,

Norman

NO additive can duplicate the TH from nicotine. Some, like pepper, will provide a burning, irritating feeling, but nothing like the TH from nicotine. Same with PGA, etc. Menthol will provide a throat sensation that might help.

But nicotine provides 90+% of TH. Since nicotine is not harmful at these levels, I would just increase it to 24mg and go from there.

No, I'm not kidding. Nicotine used at these diluted levels is not inherently harmful. It's no accident that the FDA now states that using nicotine indefinitely is not a problem.

Using it indefinitely is not a problem because the "FDA" says so? The FDA approved Vioxx, a drug that single-handedly killed over 50,000 people.

Give me a break - nicotine is a HIGHLY addictive poison (that was a commonly used insecticide up through the 1980's). Handling even a 10% solution improperly will easily kill a human. Just because one inhales 'diluted levels' doesn't make it harmless.

Do a search on 'effects of nicotine' to educate oneself further. And yep, there are some side-effects listed as 'benefits'...just the same as other harmful stimulants & drugs that affect one's brain chemistry.

Our opinion? Telling others that nicotine 'at diluted levels' is not inherently harmful and 'not a problem', is not only a lie - it's irresponsible and has the potential to harm anyone that believes it.

Just a slight nic increase even around 2-4mg can sometimes do wonders. However PGA does amplify the sensation by making the hit heavier while also making the juice thinner which in turn helps lessen coil buildup. I never had coils last very long (few days at best with my constant chain vaping) until I began adding PGA/DW to all my juice.

Also most RBA's will also provide far more TH then your typical Kanger, iTaste, Vision and all the other non RBA's out there. You can also drill most of them just enough to create the specific intensity you desire. And with pure cotton wick and a micro coils they can add a whole new dimension to your vaping experience. Especially if you can afford a Kayfun, Russin 91 or even a clone of something along those lines. I have a Cobra clone which goes for super cheap (almost disposable) and it puts a good boot to da throat.

You could also try rebuilding your evod head with a different style coil. Micro coils are supposed to deliver more throat hit at around the same ohms. A lot of the pipe tobacco flavorings have more throat hit to me than fruits at the same nic level. Good luck, rebuilding my heads though have allowed me to get the same satisfaction out of 6mg nic as I was getting from 12.
