Well I have been doing this for like 4 months so far and have spent way to much money on liquids and clearomizers etc. I have a box of liquids that I simply do not like I have tried MTbaker, HHV, Johnson creek, Vapegenie and alot of top vendors. Thing is I have spent so much trying to find a good eliquid I like. So far only thing I sort of like is Johnson Creek (Domestic) and Vapegenie (Cola, Cherry) all other ones I cannot handle. Whats the top rated vendor out there it seems like every one listed has all 5 star reviews on e-liquid n some of them are just simply nasty. Spent 2x the money I would have on cigs but do feel better.... I see so many hyped up reviews on e-liquid but when I get it its gross and my friends that try what I order agree. Now I have like 300 ml of e-liquid I wont use... Some vapor makes me wheezy and have a bad cough. Whats some good advice on what I can try?

I've run into this a lot also. Take reviews on vendors sites with a grain of salt, a lot of times they simply only post the positive reviews and discard the negative ones.
Even on ecf I don't take reviews too seriously unless coming from a seasoned vaper who likes similar flavors as myself.
I see tons of new vapers rave about MBV but I find them tolerable at best.

The best advice I can give is to buy sample packs or small bottles till you find something you like.

Do your liquids taste chemically or do you just dislike the flavors?

What types of flavors do you enjoy? (fruit, dessert, tobacco)

I've tried 15-20 different vendors and have only re-ordered from two so I know the feeling.

I wont even try to tell you what I like, as you will probably end up not liking it! :D

Not to go off topic but I agree with your sentiment on MBV - was thinking they were the best thing since sliced bread (tried 3 flavours and loved them, shame my other 9 bottles were disgusting - to my tastebuds anyway.)

We don't share cerebella or taste buds, so I can't tell you what you will like. I do know that you listed a couple vendors I did enjoy though. I wasn't at all impressed with Johnson Creek, but others love their juice. I love MBV, but my favorite flavors are flavors that I normally wouldn't choose (sticky bun, cinnamon roll, whipped cream, etc). I even have one flavor from Hangsen I enjoy. I've found it best to look for samples and mix in a couple you normally wouldn't try, but you could enjoy the flavor.

I'll agree with what is being said about MBV. I have a couple from them that are decent but overall not impressed. Again, just my opinion. HHV has some that I keep in stock but the vender that has really stuck out for me is goodlife vapor. Almost everything I have ordered from them I have like. One thing I like about them is if you read their description about pg/vg they say they mix each flavor to taste.

... Take reviews on vendors sites with a grain of salt...

Take everything you read/hear about juices with a boulder of salt.

A.) Your pallet is different from everyone else's and B.) it sounds like you have yet to find the flavor of vape you actually prefer.

Best thing to do is like what most people are recommending - try some sample packs or order a bunch of 3 ml bottles of anything. Something along the way will spark your interest.

Then again, I find it's not the destination, but the journey :) Enjoy the search.

Many of us have been where you are now...

You found two you like... you also know an awful lot about what you don't like.

Find someone kind of like you and vape what they vape...

I remember learning a few things early on... At first, I liked ry4's... I like a couple particular ones...

I tried more juices from the vendors I liked... I took a chance on new vendors that were liked by the people who shared my taste.

Eventually you start getting more hits -

Sounds like you like pungent lab tobaccos and cherry cola so far ;-)

What else is it about these juices that you like?

A lot of folks like that johnson creek blend you named... see what else they are vaping...

Just a guess, but if you like johnson creek, you might look at halo, goodejuice, vermillion, vapor station etc

(in fact, vapor station will send you free samples since you're new... you might like frisco, vs4 or tampa)

...and... there really is no top rated vendor... lots of popular ones out there -

but unless you know why you like the ones you like and can be more specific about what you are looking for, it's tough to give a good recommendation...

"The most popular" vendors/juices are a lot like the Yankees, Cowboys and Lakers... they might have the most fans, but due to their popularity and exposure, they are also the most unpopular... you know?

lastly, look at my "join date." feb 2010... I have been vaping a while now... just want you to know that I have 400mls of juice in a basket that I'll never touch again too... and that accumulated over the past 30-40 days. and they are all "top" vendors... vendors so popular that they only open weekly for a few hours~

I took a little detour from my normal menthols trying to find some new wonderous vape...

Found 3 or 4! and found 25 I didn't like.

I have found that many of the "highly rated" suppliers flavors are too strong and overpowering. Not sure if that is your issue. That seems to be the case with many of the US made eliquids. And there is a bias towards those suppliers.

You may want to try one of the original suppliers of eliquid from back in 2007-08 that are still going strong, Janty World. Their flavors are more subtle.

But as others stated, taste is highly subjective.

Wheezy and a bad cough... sounds like a reaction to too much PG or VG. VG does make some folks chest a bit heavy, and PG sometimes gives me a sore throat... best bet is to try different mixes of PG/VG. I've become very comfortable with a 50/50 blend, while juice with higher PG still gives me that sore throat sometimes.

Also, what about the flavor you have tried didn't you like? Was the flavor too strong, too light?

The best answers come from knowing precise information.

Nothing worse than not finding something (or a few things) you can vape all day to keep the stinkies away.

Been there before. I get most annoyed with the chemical and perfume tasting eliq juices. When I first order from new vendors I stick with the basic simple flavors that are familiar, like plain apple, orange, tobacco etc. and stay away from the bubble blasts and ice cream sundaes. If the supplier comes through with those flavors, tasting natural and true to item description, I move on to something a little more funky. In my experience so far, I have found that the quality suppliers' simple fruit juices do not need steep time while their tobaccos albeit vapeable straight from the mailbox need a week+ until they mature. So far I've got really good stuff from HHV and goodejuice. Ordering from ahlusion is in the pipeline.

Wish I could tell you more than has already been said in this thread but I can't. Sampler's are the way to go. I have tried posting in the swap thread but unless you have popular juices from well known vendors no one wants to take a chance. I have a TON of juice that doesnt suit me but many of them from local b&m stores so very hard to trade. For now they sit in my "Steep Box" :p

Good luck and try sampling.:p

You have to be willing to take the chance that you won't like a juice. As others have said, everyone's tastes are different. What I think is fantastic, someone else might hate and vice-versa. As you try more juices, you will however, find that certain things appeal more to you and that other flavors are on the "nope" list. This knowledge will help refine your searches and help to identify others that have similar tastes to yours. I'll ignore anyone who recommends candy flavors, but I'll pay attention to someone who likes malty tobaccos.

That being said, allow yourself to get out of your own box. Case in point: I recent tried a handful of juices from Alice in Vapeland based on a friend's recommendation. Tried them blind as my friend is over a thousand miles away, so no tasting ahead of time. I found myself very pleasantly surprised I liked a green tea and passion fruit flavor from them almost right away. Ordered a big bottle the following week. The real surprise came when I tried a "Earl Grey" style tea flavor from them and did not like it... at first. When I tried it later, I found I actually liked it a great deal. I should note that I don't think this was because it "steeped" although that might have helped. What happened was that I took the time to try a tank or two and really give the juice a honest try.

I consider a 30ml bottle a "sample" size. I find I have to really sit down with a juice for a while, and frequently several sittings before I can pass judgement. I find it is a lot like music. That track you hated on your first listening can grow to become your favorite. Make sure you are giving flavors a fair chance. You might be surprised!

Edit: If at all possible, do find other vapers and get a dripping RBA. Try their juices, share yours and discuss. You may find some real gems, and on occasion be able to trade an disliked juice for one you do. Something you hate, someone else might love. (My wife and I are planning a vape meet for this very reason... and to get to know some area vapers!)

Edit 2: I should note I actually like some of MBV's juices. Some of them are very good IMHO.
