Hi all,
So I bought a Nautilus mini and an iStick 30 and I've been using it since Friday morning. And just wow, I'm totally impressed with the experience. It doesn't leak, it stores a good amount of liquid and the 2200mah battery lasts for ages compared to the 1600mah one I was using - I've been using it for three days and I'm not even half way through it!
This really is another level compared to my crappy EVOD 2.
Thanks everyone!
One question though, the voltage and ohm charts all say that I should be using about 3.3-3.8v with the 1.8ohm coil, but some people on this thread are saying that they use much higher voltages, even with the mini, what gives?
Your 1.8ohm coil @ 3.3 - 3.8volts will give you between 6 - 8 watts of vaping power. You can effectively up the power to 30watts if you so wish, 7.3volts using a 1.8ohm, the choice is yours the limit is 8volts or 30watts. Taste of juice and throat hit are your limiting factors combined with 8volts or 30 watts.
Where you have aspired to now lol is really where we should be directing most brand new vapers, possibly starting slightly lower with an istick mini but definitely the nautilus mini. Switch the istick to watts and avoid dealing in volts, watts are a consistent number with any resistance of atomizer, whereas as volts are dictated to by that resistance so fluctuate.
Strange to explain but get used to a certain wattage ie 7 8 9 10 11 12 and so on and regardless of what atomizer resistance you use you will still vape at your chosen watts. When using volts your dealing with several numbers to achieve a certain temperature your comfortable with, the resistance of the atomizer dictates the volts. From a 1.2ohm coil to a 1.9ohm coil 11 watts is constant, the device controls the volts to give you 11 watts.
In volts a 1.2ohm coil will use 3.6volts to achieve 11 watts, at 1.4ohms the device will need 3.9volts to achieve 11 watts, at 1.6ohms it will need 4.19volts to achieve 11 watts, 1.8ohms equal to 4.44volts and 1.9ohms = 4.57. Watts is easy volts a pain. Stick with watts and join the revolution ; )
