I'm trying really hard to not be really upset, but my experience with the Reo has just been... Awful.

I'd be lucky to even get my money back out of it at this point. Not to mention the ERA 1.5 I bought specifically for the device. Argh.

Edit: I should mention my issue is with the device, not Rob himself. He's been completely helpful throughout the process.

I don't know what it looked like before but that's ugly. Was it broke from a drop or what? How did it look before you sent it in for repair?

Originally I had shorted a spring the first day. Then the second day it seemed as if the screw had been stripped. I had attempted some in house repairs that didn't pan out, and then sent it into Rob. I do NOT want to misrepresent what has happened. Much of the ugliness is my own fault; however, the glue line that you can obviously see was not my doing.

That poor thing looks it had the sheet bit out if it!
My guess is that the female threaded receiver hole for that screw was stripped beyond repair?

Who put the knife gouge in the Delrin cover?

Probably me, when I went to try to take it apart last night to replace the button. When I discovered it was glued together, I had to pry it out.

Would I be corrext in assuming the screw you stripped was the one holding the derlin top cover? In the past I have had reason to remove the top cover for the sole purpose of attaching a new feedtube further up the nozzle that the cover would allow and never had an issue with the screw. Im surprise glue was the only solution to hold it in place. Im curious as eyebedam about the condition prior to the ugliness.

Dude, that is what I was eluding to. I don't want to come off as bashing you and can sympathize with your frustration. You even seem to accept a portion of the blame, but why post pix of a mod that looks like its been beat to hell and back, and you yourself have hacked up trying to self perform stuff that should be left to the maker (especially since it just came back from there?) it's terribly misleading.

My guess is that mod was highly abused before you even got it. Glue may have been the least costly way to repair it to get it functioning. Chances are if major surgery was required, like very carefully retapping the hole, the cost may have been more than a replacement for the mod itself. Rob probably looked at the condition of the mod and made a judgement call.

Either way, he is a very accommodating guy. I would have called him and bounced my dissatisfaction off him. I feel your pain bro, but you are not helping yourself here.

That's a pic showing robs level of craftsmanship.

It seems you have had problems with this going back to when you first received it as this is your third thread about it. Purely my opinion but it sounds like you have tinkered with it to the point that there's not much a person can do with it ? I am getting the impression you are expecting a brand new Mod when you are very much responsible for the damage.

I also see you are basically misrepresenting it in the classifieds http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...rinkle-silver-metallic-door-bf-era-1-5-a.html because I am not reading anywhere that its not working properly.

If you don't like my attitude don't post your problems for all to read. If you we're dealing with someone who doesn't respond or ignores customers then this may be the best route. But I am guessing Rob has bent over backwards to fix your mistakes.

You should have just contacted Robert if you have a legitimate complaint. He would understand and take care of it.
Instead, you stirred up this REOland hornets nest. Poor move. The residents here are far less understanding when it involves criticizing the service of the Modmaster. I am unaware of ANY REO purchaser who hasn't received service above and beyond the call of duty including myself. I can't even imagine it. Robert just doesn't do business that way. JMO

I noticed the pic from above isn't in the stable of pics in your classy ad. Why not?

I'm wondering why you would have to take it apart to replace the button when you had just gotten it back from repair?

Rob would never glue in the delrin cover and I'm positive he wouldn't strip the delrin cover screw. And he CERTAINLY wouldn't use glue! That is one beat up Reo.
Owner excessive abuse, owner responsibility....

Trust me when I say I showed great restraint holding in my real thoughts in my posts out of respect to Lisa.
