So, I frequently visit this Reoville, as I am a bottomfeeder builder (personal use, only). I am immeasurably impressed by the REO in build, CS and community. I have recently built something for your vapeporn enjoyment. If you'd like to see, just follow the link.

*The title is in no way meant to demean or challenge the wonderful build of the REO. Some of my closest vaper friends own REOs! :toast:

With that said, I invite y'all to visit my creation... http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/modding-forum/484501-zmax-bottomfeed-steampunk-ermagherd.html

It can be seen in person, tomorrow, at the Smoky Mountain Vapers Vapoween meet, here in Knoxville, TN. :vapor:

I would'nt say ya raised the bar, more like cloned. Don't get me wrong, its looks to be a beautiful piece of work, but really its just a homemade REO.
Congrats on your endeavor...

But kudo's to Rob for the ultimate vape machine....

I wouldn't say it"s a homemade REO, but definitely inspired by Rob's vape machine, so, I agree... Kudos to Rob!

Looks great! The fact that you made it yourself is something to be proud of. The only con I see is, isn't it too big to hold and not pocket-friendly? It looks too lengthy to be versatile. The style is epic though.
It measures 3-1/8"(80mm)x2-1/4"(56mm)x7/8"(23mm), so, smaller than a pack of King-size stinkies. After I got it all assembled, I realized I could have decreased the width by 1/4", as I was uber-liberal with the area needed to install the PCB/wires. It's still very pocket-able tho!

There we go! The pics on the thread made it look bigger than it is. The width is still a bit too lengthy but the size and thickness of it is very pocket friendly. Also looks pretty sturdy, great job!

Very cool work man, love the steampunk style you've got going there.

One of these days I'll have to break open my first mod and give VV another shot and something like this would be a perfect first build.

The only thing I'd probably add is some kind of dark leather in there to really finish off the look.

Also, now that I think about it, if turbocad ever comes up with a solid squonk alternative like he originally intended, it'd be perfect for something like this. A glass bottle, maybe colored, with a turning brass cog pump? It'd fit so well.

Edit: Great now I want to do a Fallout/Steampunk DIY mod. Like I didn't have enough on my to-do list already >_<

The leather is an amazing idea! I have some leather scraps. I think I'll add a layer to the door, framed in rivets. I thought the door looked a bit plain in comparison to the other side of the body. Thanks for the suggestion!

i don't think it's the same at all since he posted pics of a one-off device he made on another thread. It just happens to be a bottom feeder: what options are there?

Top - bottom? some place in the middle?

How do you think a mod that must have taken a month to make is disrespectful when he acknowledges that the best of the lot is a Reo? and even the man that makes them thinks it's cool?

No Reo owners are likely to endorse mass produced Reo clones - but some people are rather a little sensitive no?

i think he's rightly proud of his work.
