I have a zmax which I like a lot, but I have been looking for a made in the USA built to last mod. I have looked at the Provari, but I am tired of the silver tube look. I have been browsing at the Reo vv woodvils and they are beautiful. I started reading the sticky threads and I think the Reo's are just what I need. How much of a learning curve is it for someone who has used mostly clearos like the vivi nova? I recently started using cartos with a tank and I have had some success there, but getting the holes just right has been a challenge at times with the high vg juices that I like.

Looking at the web site it seems there are no vv woodvils in stock. Is there a process to order one that I like? I am also interested in a mini Reo to use at work. It seems like once you try a Reo you never go back. I like the idea of having a mod that is easy to use, lasts a long time, and looks beautiful at the same time. I have no experience with attys so I guess I would be starting with cartos first. Thanks for any help you great folks can give me.

Hi jeapa! The woods are rare, he's only done two runs of them so far, tho i believe he's going to do more in the future. Cartos are fine with the reos and Iv'e heard that the shorty cartos give the best flavor.

The Reos are virtually indestructable! And they are simplicity in itself to use.I tried my first one with some trepidation as, to me, they were strange looking( I was used to the cig/tube models)

I bought one, anyway....now i have four!!Rpb, the master maker of these incredible vaping machines stands behind wach and everyone of his mods and the people here will bend over backward with any advice you need.

Hi Jeapa. There really is a very short learning curve!

If you can fill a bottle of juice, put in a battery, screw down a carto or atty you're set. The only thing that varies from person to person is mastering the squonk (pressing the onboard bottle to wet your carto / atty). You will be up and running minutes after getting your REO, but will learn to perfect (in a short time) when to press and for how long. It is fun!

The learning curve is short. The wood REOs are beautiful and the metal REos are beautiful also perhaps some would say more practical because they are more travel friendly durable. I still lean torwards the woods. Rob makes magic with his wood skills as example....

Welcome jeapa :)

Hi Rob. Thank you for the welcome. I didn't realize before that you are the owner... Duh.

Are you going to be making anymore vv woodvils soon? If so I want to be in line. I wouldn't mind putting a deposit down either. Your work is beautiful and I don't know how it took me so long to notice the Reo's.

Luckily for my wallet, I don't like the Woodwils, never been a fan of wooden stuff. But man I find myself drooling on Robs website every day. Simply the simplest and best system there is. With a RBA the vape is pretty much on par with larger fancy Genesis stuff, with a way better functionality for everyday use, can't beat that! :)

From Robert (redeyedancer) in the Update and sales thread 01/31/13:

My full time employe Wayne is going to be out of work for about 3 weeks for surgery . This leaves me alone this will slow me down considerably
.This will delay the mini 2.1 release and any wood mod builds I have planned. I will post updates as soon as I no more

Welcome, jeapa & fendymn :)

I would just like to add a few things. Rob does a run or two of woods every year. The reason they are so few and far between is that they are extremely time consuming & labor intensive to make, compared to the metal mods. He has another run planned in the near future. However, if you are looking for one now, you can find them every now and then in the classifieds.

There is no pre-order or list. The list would be too complicated to maintain. So he makes the woodvils, then posts a sale date. Photos are posted on his website a few days in advance so you can see what is available.
