Wow, I couldn't believe it, I saw 2 e-cig commercials on the TV tonight, one for EZSmoker, and the other for Vapor something. The EZ was nicotine free and the other company I think didn't say, but I was floored actually watching it & that the word was finally getting out in the media. Has any one else seen any television commercials, too? If so by whom and did they say if they had nicotine or not? Or is this the way that they can bypass the cigarette ad bans on TV by not having nicotine in their PV's? YES, SCORE ONE FOR THE GOOD GUYS!!!!!!!!!!

never seen on TV

ummm.... where did I read the EZsmoker was produced via big tabacco? It explains why the tv ad is so lame. BT wants you to buy a cheap POS at a high price so you give up on the vaping concept and keep smoking.

* Also, the tv ad is so lame as BT also want to sqash the cool image vaping is becoming. This is why people will ask/ tell you, "oh yeah, you got one of those fake ones"
We can all agree, vaping is about the coolest fad there is starting up, not to mention function. BT need this image killed quik.

Anyone want to second this?

Yeah, I've been getting them on digital cable from some US stations, too. They look like your average crappy gas station E-cig. I'd rather see some real E-cigs advertised so people don't try these expensively cheap ones and get turned off of the idea because of how bad they are. (Well, they may not be terrible, but the odds are against them.)

Hey, if we all donated, how much would it cost to get a public service announcement for the ECF on the air? :)

Well, we have 20,000 members yes, so 5 bucks a pop would get it<??? (no idea)
Great idea!
I know if I hadn't found ECF & read about how those cheapo's are timed failures, I would still be smoking today I think!

Something that can help is if people go into their local tobacco stores and educate the owners.

My local tobacco store closed. There's a vape store here now though.

Why spend the money on a public service announcement? According to this thread, all the TV ads are for the ripoff scams. Who'd want to be one of those, and who would pay attention anyway?

Seriously, some of the things that have been said in this thread... Educate others? Erm, I think it better start closer to home first if we want to have any chance of succeeding elsewhere.

I had never seen a e cig commercial until last week.
It was for smokeassist.com

Just total crap IMO. Yeah the cig is free but the carts are 89$ for 20! Which they "claim" last a month.
Although I think it is good that news is getting out about e- cigs and some consumers will do research before ordering.
I worry about those that do not try because of the expense or those that try that crap and think that is what it is to use an e cig.
