Yes you can use a Provari on the kayfun and my kayfun clone cost me $45. I'd actually say you'll get a better vape with the Kayfun than you will the Aerotank (I owned an Aerotank). you say you "dont want to get into the coil building thing" by the time you dry burn your coil on an Aerotank I'd be able to make 3 brand spanking new coils that taste much better than a dry burned one.

Really I need to find a b&m around here with a helpful staff to show me.... The YouTube videos are kind of all over the map. Some of the same basic concepts bit apparently it looks like each RBA has a different method.
It would be my luck that I would be the first person to screw it up and electrocute myself orally -I can see the headline now

Sounds like your'e just not motivated to vape buddy. You can't spend 5 minutes of your life to build a coil? lol. I mean if you don't wanna spend time to do it why not just buy a bunch of coils for your Aerotank and change them out when you need to?

It would take a newbie a lot longer than five minutes, and the results wouldn't be very good. These skills aren't acquired instantly.

I have no further tips to suggest, but I wish him well. Those of us who love coil-eating juices do have a tough road sometimes. Me, I buy coils in bulk -- at twelve cents each, changing often isn't a problem.

Hahaha nah man, thats not going to happen. Buy an ohm meter while youre at it to make sure that it doesnt happen. Youll be fine. Look up a navy nest build, thats the best build you can make (in my opinion)

Apparently I'd more of a newbie than him, he has more post than both of us combined. I'm just saying the kid needs to man up, Ive seen him use 5 frowny faces in his last 3 post (no offense Tony) 12 cents? what you vaping? an iclear 30? lol

I have an HDMM, VTVM and an Oscope.
Navy Vest build?- got it.
Any preferential wire I know 34 gauge,
Any preferable material?
What's this I've seen cotton wick and some beaded material?

I hear cotton build are awesome, the best but Ive never made a build with cotton. I would suggest using 2mm ekowool, its amazing, much better than silica. 30 gauge kanthal.

So that's it? Just a tool spool the kanthal around (30g)
2 mm Elowool
A multimeter (ohm meter)
Wire snips
Tweezer

Is that it or do I need my Soldering iron?

Nope, the tools I usually use:

-ohm meter (to read resistance and use as a stand while I'm building)

-tweezers(straighten up wire after I wrap it and making everything nice, neat and presentable)

-nail clippers (great for getting clean cuts on wire and ekowool)

thats it

So I was just looking at some other vids also.... How would you think a single kanger coil perform I'm relation to the stock dual coils? Obviously I'm contemplating rebuilding the amassed volume of arrogant coils I have here as allowed to getting a kayfun. All of the RBAs I can find are either clone if they are affordable or not affordable at all.
Not to mention I really like these aero tanks

Just replaced my coil after 3 weeks of heavy use and with the thick custards to boot...i love the savings over buying coils and atomizers the kayfun rocks it really is easy to use and setup..

I've had the same coils in my Kayfun Lites and Spheroid for 3 months (I make wicks out of cotton), and with coil gunking dark juices, it's simple - every 2 fills I take it apart, throw away the cotton, dry burn and wash the coil - pop in a new cotton wick and refill the tank, that's it.

What is the Advantage of cotton over silica and ekowool?
Was watching a few vids of the kayfun cool change last night and noticed it seams easy to cause a short with a new coil. When it shorts can that damage the mod?

We all screw up once in a while. Like me not roaming around the forums to catch you before you ordered that pro-whatsit.

I just successfully recoiled two out of three, and successfully rebuilt the third one. Here is the video that taught me: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ttsi6N2f9FI&feature=youtu.be

I rinse my coils with water, soak with denture cleaning tablets, rinse again, dry, test/dry burn, put in a pile for later those that don't pass the test. I changeout coils whenever I am dissatisfied with the vape.

My rebuild that shorted was no problem with my VAMO.

I use silica, as coil-cleaning is simpler. I don't know if my coils could withstand the stress of wick removal and reinsertion.

The advantage of cotton over silica or eko is that it's very easy to replace as you don't need to recoil - just take out the old wick and put in a new one. I also prefer the taste of cotton to eko and silica because I don't have any weird taste. Some people may say that you get a weird taste from cotton, but all you nee to do is use organic unbleached cotton balls from CVS, or any other place and boil for 20 minutes. A pack of cotton balls will last you more than a year. It's actually very easy to avoid shorts in an RBA such as a Kayfun when building a new coil. If you are using a regulated mod, a short will not damaging - it will just cut out until you fix the coil and remove the short. If you use a mech mod a short can damage the battery as there is no protection for it. However, there are Ohm meters out there that test the built coil for a short and resistance ($10). A pack of cotton balls and a spool of kanthal wire (a few feet) can last you more than a year for wick and coil as you don;t have to recoil every time you change a flavor or the coil is gunked up - just remove the wick, wash, dry burn, wash again and put in another wick.

Does the cotton last as long as silica or ekowool - it looks allot less durable.
Do you know if a short would mess up an MVP2 or a Provari, I know those two have protection circuits in them bit kit sure if they have the protection circuits for that.
