I'm happy to say I smoked a cigarette, and it was absolutely disgusting. I had tried vaping about a year ago to come off cigarettes and it didnt work. I still smoked cigarettes thinking that the more I vape the less cigarettes i'd smoke.

Well this time I gave up completely and went 100% vaping right out of the gate. After a week and a half of vaping I was at a bar and ran out of e-juice so I took one of my friends cigarettes. MY first reactions were horrible. I missed my big clouds, the taste of my juice, the whole thing. The Cigarette didnt feel like it was putting out enough smoke to satisfy me and the taste was absolutely disgusting. I couldnt wait to get home and fill up my tank full of juice.

I think i'm off cigarettes for good.

It'll come! Just a good reason to always have backups and full juice when going out. Sounds like you might just have the proper mindset to finally give up the smokes for good! I started vaping 2 years ago with the intention of cutting back on cigarettes, but once I got the right setup, I accidentally quit. I actually forgot to smoke until I was smoke free for 3 days. That was 20 months ago and still smoke free. Just keep it up and you'll make it :).

Yes, it is really amazing, how they taste. But what I noticed is that after a test-cigarette like this (I consumed three of them during my first year of vaping) I was thinking about smoking and cigarettes in a somewhat unclear but definite way. These thoughts werde just there, cigarettes were constantly on my mind for the following 2-3 weeks after I made the "test". I think this testing does not make things easyer, even if they taste terrible - they are tiny gateways back to smoking. When I noticed this "they are on my mind" thing, I decided never to "test" again. They seem to work as a repellent and seem to keep you from smoking but underneath of it, they do the opposite to you (and the receptors in your brain).

For almost a year now, I am clean and the distance keeps growing. But even talking about this topic reactivates ... something in my head.

I dont worry about it so much anymore.
Yea I quit..
And I had a couple and they were disgusting. Then I had a few more. Every once and a while when I am drinking and my friends have smokes Ill get one. They are mildly disgusting. But nothing to get all worked out about...
Its like meh. This is not that great. But whatever. But I dont ever NEED one.

Inside of a balloon is the best way I can describe the taste.
I got an Innokin Ucan to carry around about 2 tank fulls of my favorite juice at the moment. It's very pocket friendly, tough as nails and relieves my fear of running out. I also very an old Innokin vv3 battery in my tanks case just in case. I get about 200+ puffs @11 watts out of it.
It's better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it.
Here's my carry bag
d1f2a771763196445eeda0b909eda844.jpg

It's not much bigger than my Note4 phone, carries 6 tanks, an ileaf 100w (or usually I carry my ileaf 40w& a spare portable 5200mah battery for charging the 40w), the vv3 and the Ucan easily.
Yeah I did the "test"before and ended up smoking again for almost 2 years before finally going back to vaping. I'm down to 1 cigarette in the morning now, been there for about 3 weeks now but that 1 tester, though it tasted horrible, got me thinking about smokes again, which led me back to them. It's a trap for me.

After 3 years of vaping I still crave a real cigatette every now and then. I know it is just a false memory of imagined pleasure. I will be damed before I ever put another penny down on those things. More over, I notice it when other people smell like smoke. I am like,"Yikes is that what I smelt like for all those years?"

I want to also say that vaping takes a bit of practice and trial and error. Most of us have had to work out a few kinks. Good luck to you and all.

OMG, I think I finally am realizing why the ANTZ hate smokers so much! I've been vaping and smoke free for approaching 3 years and have no desire to smoke again.
My daughter who has fallen off the vaping wagon was over the other day and smoked while we sat on my patio. The smell of her cigarette smoke was almost nauseating. I could hardly wait for her to finish that nasty thing and move up-wind from me.
Sad to say but I think I get it.

For me cigarette taste is still as sweet as it was for ages. I just do not need them anymore.

Last time I had a cigarette, it wasn't as disgusting as some have suggested - but after only one cigarette I could smell it on my clothes for quite a while afterwards.

When I first switched to ecigs, I could smell a smoker some distance away. As time has gone by, now I only notice close up.

I hear this quite a bit, and more so on this forum than elsewhere. What I don't understand is that hardly anyone says something similar about, say, BBQ smoke, campfire smoke, fireplace smoke, and the like. When I fire up the BBQ, my clothes smell like a combination of lighter fluid, charcoal, and grease smoke, but everyone seems to like the smell. Have a cigarette, though, and people 50 feet away are instantly coughing and vomiting. I think it must be a conditioned response.

For me, the only time a cigarette every tasted particularly bad was right after vaping fruit flavors.

IF anyone truly can't discern and appreciate the difference between good BBQ "smoke" wafting delectably from a Grill/Smoker loaded up with Ribs or Brisket or marinated Ribeyes etc. and the putrid vile stench of a smoldering Cowboy or Camel Turd,,,
Damn
I pity you.
I really really do ;)

I planned on 'substituting' every other ciggie with vaping. Switched to vaping after a week. But, I occasionally had an analog during the first month. Kept that last pack "just in case" for almost a year. Been more than 5 years now.

It's sad to admit, but it can be tough to get together with friends who still smoke. As SOON as I get home I have to jump in the shower to get the smell off me. :(

I haven't had a cigarette in about 1,258 minutes. But the last one I had tasted nowhere near as good as my flavored (black pepper) vape tastes. And yet, I was still able to enjoy it. Imagine that.

I've noticed alcohol and coffee, and about 50 other things taste nowhere near as good when you stop using them and then go back and try them purely for the taste. Like soda taste way better than every alcohol drink ever, and yet people still enjoy the taste of alcohol. Those weirdos.
