I got a little curious and had one when I was out at the bar with a friend who still smokes a while back. We decided it would be an experiment because I was talking about the fact that the only thing I missed about smoking was lighters. Honestly, it was pretty nasty. I've never been one to back down, so I finished it, but I sure wasn't reaching for another one.

About 3 months in, I decided I had to try a cigarette, just to see if I was really done with them. Every other time I had quit in the past, that first cigarette was like the best thing since sliced bread, and in no time I'd be back to a pack a day. So I lit one up, and didn't make it past 2 puffs - I couldn't believe how disgusting it tasted. Took a good long time to get the nasty taste out of my mouth - it was like a greasy film. That was the day I knew there was no going back.

man , this morning i realized my atomizer was almost shot (old) and the one i ordered a week ago hasn't come yet (usually 2 days, wtf mate?) so after trying to vape microscopic clouds i went and bought a pack of pall malls and smoked like 6 in a row. i will end up giving the rest of the pack away once my atty gets here but man that stank.

I smoked half a cigarette 2 weeks after I quit. It was like sucking on the anus of a demon, totally nasty. I think you'll find that you completely lost your taste for them.

:) I've personally not tried Demon ... before and don't know what it tastes like, but yeah I went back to analogue cigs after a few weeks of vaping. It tastes bad. I don't know what made me wanna take up smoking in the first place, it tastes bitter and nasty.

Worst thing is the lingering smell in my nostrils...

I think you should feel free to try it as often as you need to. There's no other way to convince your brain. After a while, you'll get it. You'll realize the thought is actually better than the experience and you'll stop wanting one. However, at least for me, denying myself one just because I made "a rule" didn't work. I needed to give myself permission to smoke a real cigarette, and did, until eventually my brain really BELIEVED that I no longer wanted one.

When I'm under a lot of stress my brain tries to trick me into believing I want one even NOW, two years since I began vaping. However, it's a much weaker urge and I know it won't be good. But only experience (repeated!) has convinced me!

I still get the urge every now and then to have a cig, but I know that as soon as I have one, I will be smoking again. When I got back into vaping this 2nd time around, I had half a carton of smokes just sitting around and I would have 2 a day. They tasted terrible, but I could not see wasting the money. When I finally got down to the final unopened pack, I just handed it to one of my smoking co-workers and let him finish them.

I switch back an forth between vaping and smoking at will. One of the big benefits of vaping. One cigarette no longer results in a pack a day.

Dave

Really nice looking car. I've always liked Corvettes a lot. I want one with the very next generation body style after that one, not sure what year they changed it.

Thanks! It's a lot of fun, this is my 5th summer with it. 1996 was the last year for the C4. C5's (1997-2004) are pretty cheap right now, the market is still soft. If you want to learn more about them, visit corvetteforum.com - there's a section for every generation.

Ok. Just bought a pack of analogues. You guys still recall the first ever cigarette you smoked? There's this particular scent that we have all become accustomed to, very chemical. I've not smelled that in years!

I think my sense of smell has returned :) it's so awful but yeah, definitely recommend people go back and try regular cigarettes after a few weeks, there's definitely no going back.
